This set is just bad. You would have better luck buying everything that you need from somewhere else. Just go to Walmart or DICK'S where you can get way better hard plastics and soft baits for about the same price. (that was from my 14 yro son). AND I had to py $7 to return it.

half the rubber bait in the picture did not come with the kit. All the lures in the picture was different from the ones I received and everything overall looks like Chinese junk. Also the hooks could probably only catch minnows besides the jig heads but they came in grey when the picture displayed color. I hope this encourages you not to waste your money on this kit.

This is a phenomenal starter kit. If you are looking to outfit a tackle box, supplement one, or like me, replacement of stolen equipment, this is a great place to start. There is enough tackle to handle most any fishing you want to do from salt water to fresh. Pan fish to pike this has you covered. It is July now and the hot days of summer mean top water bass in my neck of the woods. This had me covered. There is a small version of a jitter bug that drives bass into a frenzy here in the Midwest. It really got a workout right before dusk and shows no worse for the wear landing several large ones coming out of cover. They also really worked over the popper and the soft body frog. There are more spoons than any one tackle box should be allowed but why mess with a proven winner. The soft bait selection is definitely a good start but needed some extras. It comes with these mini blood worms that I had real good success with on crappie and pan fish recently. If you are outfitting a box for a new angler or just need a great base kit for yourself I can highly recommend this one.
