Questions about Rebel Lures Original Realistic Crawfish Crankbait Fishing Lure
Q:
Do they make the big craw in this color?
Answer: Yes.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Im new to this bait so how would i work it in the water do i reel slowly?
Answer: Best bet we've used, are more than a single way. 1 - You can simply pop it on the surface an inch at a time, then let it go under and come back up. Perfect for large Perch/Blue Gill and Crappie, even some bass. Very slowly crank it for it to attract and catch anything that swims..For larger fish such as Blue Gill/Crappie/Bass, put a tiny clamp on split shot weight on it, let it sink one foot first time, then two, then three and etc. and etc. This allows you to find depth they are hitting at. But for creeks/streams, they are fabulous for Small Mouth Bass of ALL sizes period.
Answer: Do you need to fish it fast enough that it dives below the surface because it will try to float if you don’t but will only go a couple feet. Not made for deep water
Answer: Throw it out, let it sit for a second or two then twitch it. It is a good lure. The crickhopper is awesome as well.
Answer: small even time delayed jerks for bass
Answer: Yes, work it slowly. Preferably, just crawl it across the rocks near the bottom. Good Luck!
Answer: Water-ways & streams vary. Some waters are not moving or moving very slow and some waters & streams are moving fast, faster & very fast as well as the depth of the waters. Every lure has its own nature so it will be a "try & error" method" depending on all of the mentioned variables. You can also raise or lower the rod tip as you real which will help make the lure go deeper or shallow. You can also add a small weight at the front which will make it go deeper as well as change the action.
Q:
How large is the lure and hook?
Answer: The come in different weights n sizes, u pick !
Q:
im pretty new to fishing am i sopposed to put anything on the hooks?
Answer: No, you won't need to add anything to the hooks. The fish go for the crawfish look itself. Welcome to the world of fishing. Have fun.
Answer: Nothing on the hooks.....keep them free of weeds etc. A squirt of crayfish scent wont hurt but it's not a must. Use as light a test line as possible n vary your retrieve speed. The smaller sizes, 1/10th oz, r great for big bluegill, smaller bass n trout. A rebel crickhopper is a super good lure to use for about everything, better than a crayfish ! The rebel hellgramite is excellent too.
Answer: No bait needed
Answer: Nope, with lures you just put the lure on and just let it set or jiggle and slowly reel, no worms or other bait required.
Answer: No. Cast it out and reel it back in. It has great action. You can vary the reel in speed to see what works best.
Answer: Nope. Just throw it out there and reel it back in varying the speed of your retrieval.
Answer: No just tie it on your line cast it out as far as you can a reel it in slowly.
Answer: Nah if you do it might not run true
Q:
What size is this lure?
Answer: Hello,
Q:
Is this the middle wee craw ? Says so in description but the title doesnt say that
Answer: Yes it is but it’s the red one
Q:
How deep is this crankbait made to dive?
Answer: The Rebel Mid Craw is made to go 4 to 6 feet deep. I have found the depth depends on how fast you crank the crawdad, the faster the crank the deeper the dive. I have also found that I need to crank the lure slower in shallow water. Joy in your fishing ...
Answer: It's spec'd to dive between 4-6 feet according to Tackle Warehouse's page.
Q:
is this a deep or shall model item number listed does not match item number on picture of packaged lure
Answer: shallow
Q:
How many inches long is this crawdad lure?
Answer: about 2 1/2 inches
Answer: A little over 2 1/2"
Answer: 2''

What is the length of these? (did anyone report an issue with a picture and/or reviews ?)
Answer: The Wee is about 2 inches, and the Teeny Wee is just over and inch long.
Q:
I see 8 different colors but only offered 3. Are there more colors than the 3 shown?
Answer: U cant buy what they dont have
Q:
will this catch Kansas bass?
Answer: Based on multiple variations that come into play when choosing the right lure for the right species of fish, it all depends on what the bass in Kansas are feeding on this time of year and if they are in an active mood or a reclusive state.
Q:
Length of the lure??

Product reviews of Rebel Lures Original Realistic Crawfish Crankbait Fishing Lure
Mike K : Favorite Lure
I've been using the Rebel Craw in all different sizes for a few years now, and it's easily the most productive of any lure I use. I've caught smallmouth, largemouth, crappie and stripers on it. This year I'm going to try deep trolling the larger version for landlocked stripers. You can't go wrong with this one.
Amazon Customer : Best Bait!
This bait works for just about any type of fish. Highly recommend!
Michael Walker : I
Exactly as described
Bekah Hernandez : This rig works better in early hours
I have had okay luck with this lure. Although I must say that New Mexico bass fishing is a different kind of fishing all on its own. It This lure has proven itself to be one of the most used in my tackle box. This lure is best used in clear water. I find I get the most hits using this with and some scent. I also have this same lure in red and that seems to just drive bass crazy. This lure in particular is hit more in the early morning hours. The thing I like best about this rig is its bright colors that stay bright and haven't faded. I have gone through some very poorly made lures and this one even through so much use has stood that test. The negative? I thought that both the red and the Chartreuse &Brown would be the same size. I was wrong. This one is just slightly smaller. I hope that this helps.
Lavinia Pritchett : Good for river fishing
Good lure for pan fish need bigger size for bass.
Tina steady : Awesome
It was delivered on time, it was the correct lure, the color was a little brighter than I thought, but none the less it's good quality.
Virgil Imchuck : Classic lure
Good action. Easy to vary speed with good results.
Steph J. Colorado : As described

Amazon Customer : Dives probably more than 15’. Nice large size.
Perfect size. I wish they made that size in different diving depths cause it does run deep. Which can be great if that’s what you need. Caught a few nice bass off of them already.

I've had very good luck with this crawfish lure and advise a collection of several different colors. Season timing and water temperature change the color that fish will strike.
David Ziglar : Would by again
Would buy again was around 1.5" long
Squid : Bass Magnet
So caught a monster bass on first cast. Broke off so we had to replace. Not the lures fault.
The FAM : Awesome gear!
Me and my son love these things! Caught a crappie, bass, and catfish one after the other in the same day, same lake with these! They are awesome!
ramon ramirez jr : It's okay I guess
I have not used it yet but I will tomorrow. It's of good quality but kinda small
Techie : Great action and weight for the size, durability is questionable.
I love the action of these little guys, great for targeting small bass or crappie. The weight is great for a lure of this size, which is important to me as casting ultralight lures on my baitcaster setup is a nightmare.
The problem I have had is durability... I had the bill of one break away from the body from an impact with just water. Admittedly I was swinging it down into the water to try and knock off some algae, but I wasn't being all that aggressive. Given that this guy is intended to be bounced off a rocky bottom, the bill snapping on contact with water points to issues with quality control. I've been treating my spare more gently. As in I haven't thrown it since the other broke. Nice and safe in the tackle box.
Mike V : Great except for 1 major flaw
This lure is great for bass. I run it in a creek in PA and it kills small mouth. And I mean absolutely crushes them. At least when it's functioning properly. The problem with these lures, especially the teeny size, is the front treble hook actually swings forward under the belly of the lure and it hooks itself in the opening where the "claws" come together. This affects the action of the lure drastically. And this happens probably 1 out of 4 casts. It's very frustrating to throw the perfect cast only to see the lure flopping around on the surface because the treble is out of position. I guess you could just put some larger trebels on it and it might help or eliminate the issue. Otherwise it's awesome. Everything hits it. Bass, crappie, walleye. I've even caught trout on this.
Hikes to Waterfalls : Fish love it, super fun ultralight lure!
Large mouth, Sunfish, Creek Chub can't resist this lure mountains of VA! The weight is good if a tad light. The depth and crank action very nice for small lakes and streams. Some times the head treble gets stuck in the middle hole, and the line gets tangled in either treble, but it's manageable. I catch tons of fish with this thing.
WVHomegirl : Love this!!
These are the best top of the water bait for trout and bass.
Pat : Broke on 5th cast
Bought this based on a recommendation of a friend. On the 5th cast, it snapped on the bill. The whole lure went out, only the part in the picture came back. I didn't hit it on anything, it doesn't dive deep enough where I fish to break on a rock and I didn't abuse it. It literally just broke on the cast out. I'm bummed by the lack of quality control.
Chase Bailey : Good all around lure
These look incredibly realistic when you reel them in at the right pace. I Always thought of them as a bass lure, but I have caught a lot of trout with them as well. They out fish anything else I have ever thrown into a lake, both warm and cold water.
Steph J. Colorado : As described
Nice lure looks like picture
Kyle : Looks real!
Love how it moves in the water, looks real. Just don’t lose it, sucks to snag a $6 lure
Judith Dubuc : Must-Have Midwestern River Smallmouth Lure
Around grass and light cover, and in shallow pools this is a great bait. Dives pretty deep for a small crank with a nice wobble. Just cheap enough to throw without fear. Anglers around here (southwest Ohio) buy them by the dozen. The larger model is not as effective around here as it is bigger than the preferred smallmouth forage. Moss, nest robber, and ditch have worked best for me.
Outdoorsman803 : Can't beat a crawdad
Have my personal best largemouth on one of these guys at just over 5lbs.
Techie : Great action and weight for the size, durability is questionable.

R. Wynieski : Another trusted brand.
I use these smaller Rebels for creek, spillway, and river fishing.
Dan : Great lure
These lures are great. It will catch all kinds of fish. Caught a 22 inch rainbow trout with this one.
Kyle : Looks real!
Love how it moves in the water, looks real. Just don’t lose it, sucks to snag a $6 lure

George Shelley : Excellent product, price & delivery.
Excellent product, price & delivery.
Josh : BEST RIVER/CREEK BAIT ON THE MARKET
Smallmouth can't resist the rebel wee craw, and panfish/sunfish can't resist the smaller size. I currently have about 5 of them just in case. I only use this bait when creek/river fishing and I usually out fish everyone I am with. Ive caught a 19 1/2 inch smallmouth with the rebel wee craw and several 3 pounders. If you love small fishing, then JUST BUY IT!
Jason C. : Great for trout
Catches fish
ricky c pepper : Rebel craw
Great little lure, hard to find.
Lavinia Pritchett : Good for river fishing
Good lure for pan fish need bigger size for bass.
Dfk : Great, love it.
Rebel crawdad is a go to lure for smallmouth bass
Chase Bailey : Good all around lure
These look incredibly realistic when you reel them in at the right pace. I Always thought of them as a bass lure, but I have caught a lot of trout with them as well. They out fish anything else I have ever thrown into a lake, both warm and cold water.
PETE : These catch trout!
Small enuff to catch river trout. It worked on the Chattooga/Tallulah Rivers for me. Runs great, lots of activity. I already bought them again. Cant wait to use them on the Little Tennessee for smallies.
Will L. : Killer Lure
This is the secret weapon. Shhh!
JB : Misleading product image.
The photo is misleading. The actual lure has a short diving lip, and runs much shallower than the one pictured. My fault for not remembering the deep diver is called the "Deep Wee R".
Allan : good purchase
great lure
Andrew Peterson : So many fish
I have caught many, many fish with this lure. I adore this lure and cannot recommend it highly enough. I recommend casting it upstream and reeling it in in steady jerks. The fish go nuts. You're gonna catch a big old fish. Only complaint is the treble hooks are barbed which makes getting the hook out of the fish tricky. I switched the hooks to barbless trebles because I almost always do catch and release and I hate yanking the barbed hooks out of the fish. Sometimes the hook catches the eyelid of the fish. Really bothers me when that happens. Got this fish on the nose. Amazing little lure.
Bob : Five Stars
Bass love them. Update May 2015. Everything love this bait. I've been fishing for over forty years and far and away this is the best bait I have ever used. I've been kayak fishing lately and have caught SM bass, blue gill, and trout. Caught several 20" brown trout last few weeks.
Brandon : Fish on, fish on
My lifetime favorite bass lure. Love it.
robert : So small Of a lure I couldn't get my line attached
Was only about 1" long. For $9.00 I would have guessed it was a regular sized Chinese lure. Very mad at myself !!!
Anthony Hartness : Nice lure!
Very well made! No issues with design or hooks. - 5 stars is for the lure, not for the fish is did or didn't catch. It's called fishing not catching
