Answer: Power Bait works great, it's the only thing I use for trout fishing.

Answer: I've never had any problems using this bait. It's always produced great results on trout. Unfortunately it does and will not work on any other fish in my opinion. Good luck if you get it and happy fishing.

what color works best?

Answer: When they first stock trout yellow or orange. I always carry several colors since trout change color choice . If yellow and orange fail I go to pink. Lots of guys like white some guys swear by sunrise. If I were you I'd buy 3 or 4 colors , make sure you get the floating eggs . Float them off the bottom 18" higher if lots of vegetation Good Luck

Answer: ... bass, catfish, pickerel --- but few and far between ... this is mainly a trout bait ...

Kansasgardener : Great for Farm raised Trout!

I have used these for years. I think the best colors are Orange And Chart for my area. We fish a lake in Kansas that is stocked with trout in the winter months.Just put a split shot on about 4-6 inches up from your hook.We use 2 per hook and the best thing about them is that you can get your bait back when you clean your trout.Buy some they work great!

These things really work for stocked trout. I usually fly fish, or small spinners, but when everything else fails, these always work. They float, aren’t messy, and I just use a small weight and short leader to keep them off the bottom.

The BEST bait for catching trout. Take two or three of these off the chain, leave them linked together and thread them onto a size 6 8 or 10 hook. Put a 1/4z piece of split shot a foot or so up and throw it towards a hole. Then wait... then later eat trout. Just that simple. I caught so many fish last week at a local stocked pond while nobody else was catching. The next day I went back the guy who was next to me told me he ordered a can of these in every color.

The stocked trout in the local lake completely ignore this bait. They'll at least show interest in the other stuff I put in with the same rig but they completely ignore the power eggs even when the trout are right in front of my face. Maybe it's the color. Will update the review once a fish shows interest in this bait. For now it is just an orange life-jacket for my trout hooks.
