Answer: Power Bait works great, it's the only thing I use for trout fishing.

Answer: I've never had any problems using this bait. It's always produced great results on trout. Unfortunately it does and will not work on any other fish in my opinion. Good luck if you get it and happy fishing.

what color works best?

Answer: When they first stock trout yellow or orange. I always carry several colors since trout change color choice . If yellow and orange fail I go to pink. Lots of guys like white some guys swear by sunrise. If I were you I'd buy 3 or 4 colors , make sure you get the floating eggs . Float them off the bottom 18" higher if lots of vegetation Good Luck

Answer: ... bass, catfish, pickerel --- but few and far between ... this is mainly a trout bait ...

Answer: 35 Trout in Ma. In 2 months using the yellow powerbait. Does it work? You bet it does. Go on fishbrain site and look up Hamblins Pond .

William H. Newell : Your need to try this bait for lake trout. Small bottle, so you can carry it easy if you're really unlucky with other methods.

Very killer trout success putting three eggs on a long worm hook on mountain lakes. Hide the hook.

I didn't buy these on Amazon. I got them from Bass Pro recently. I bought Orange, Bubble gum, Pink, and Red. Honestly, I didn't catch anything with them. And that's okay. I bought them as a test bait for a trip I took on a trout trip to Western MD recently. They were going to be my "Hey nothing works. Let's try the new stuff I've never used before" baits. I can't say that I like these any better or worse than real salmon eggs. The biggest advantage(s) these have over the real deal are: they're extremely tough. They seem to be the same material as the "heads" on Berkley's mouse tails, except maybe slightly more dense. The other real advantage they have is: they're not temperature sensitive. I forgot a jar of real Salmon eggs in the truck over the summer and they "melted." I'm glad to read that these eggs work really well for some guys. But they sure didn't for me. Not the fault of the bait itself inherently. Could've been the wrong conditions for them or the fish just didn't want them that weekend. Other Berkley products did just fine. Whatever. That's why its called fishing and not catching.

These things really work for stocked trout. I usually fly fish, or small spinners, but when everything else fails, these always work. They float, aren’t messy, and I just use a small weight and short leader to keep them off the bottom.
