Will it be fine to move some of it to a different container? Also, how is the shelf life?

Answer: Make sure you have an air tight small container, try to keep the container closed at all times to improve shelf life, I have had mine for over two years and it still looks good to go and the fish seem to think so too.

Answer: I don't see why not....and the shelf life is rather long ....especially if you use a little Garlic Oil to soften it up when you use it. If it is already soft enough, just dip the baited hook in the Garlic Oil for added zest to attract the Trout. Good fishing and good luck.

Answer: We have split ours into different containers as well as combined it with others. Unopened it lasts indefinitely, keep it tightly closed and cool it has lasted 8 months for us.

Answer: It's best to keep it in the original container unopened until you use it. It smells, makes a mess, and will dry out quickly if exposed to air for very long. I recommend taking a small amount out to use and sealing the jar backup. Once open, it will last for years if stored properly.

There are many colors and options available. What is the difference or they are all the same? i am not able to find it in the product description.Thnx

Answer: mostly depends on that what fish like ,on water when I fishing red color is great of course I bought different colors and find that red color working anyway it is nice to have different colors and taste that give you options, until you not find good one .

Answer: Some are diffrerent scents, but they are designed for trout, there is a brown which is the color of the hatchery pellets that stocked trout are feed which works good, rainbows like bright colors so pinl and orange work well for them , but some days a different color will work as well, the same as lures, Good luck

Answer: Trout is caught using this bait where I Fish. I have tried others but this seems to work best for me at this time.

General power bait q. does anyone think this type of bait might work for bream/bluegills? i don't like using worms.appreciate your thoughts on matter.

Answer: It would work, but not as well as worms. What would work as well as a worm is to put a small ball of the power bait on the hook and then add a little velveeta chesse. The cheese will fall off the the first hit, but they won't leave it alone until all the bait is gone....

Answer: It might but they also make Power Bait that is meant for species like crappie like Power Worms, Power Maggots I think they call them and some others that might be a good substitute for real worms.. Just look it up on their website and it should steer you in the right direction:)

Answer: Mostly, it catches fishermen, but the hatchery trout will eat anything resembling the pellets they are fed at the hatchery. I suspect all Powerbait has some hatchery food ingredients mixed in, so it works fairly well if you shape it like a mini marshmallow.

will this work for other kind of fish? (no saltwater)

Answer: If the jar of Powerbait is labeled as "trout formula" or "trout bait", then it's used for trout. That doesn't mean other fish won't hit it. Find out what bait is working at your fishing spot and get that.

Answer: This floating powerbait formula is designed to emulate a hatchery pellet that the farm raised trout eat until they are old enough to be stocked into lakes or reservoirs, and such. That does not mean other fish will not go for this bait. I have only caught trout on this powerbait. But now you know how this bait is designed to entice farm raised trout.

Answer: This is trout bait. Wouldn't use it for anything else. A bass may occasionally eat it but rarely.

Can I used this for salt water?

Answer: This bait is designed for trout in freshwater but you can try it for shore or surf fishing, don't think your going to find any rainbow trout in the ocean

Answer: I use it for trout in fresh water, which is what it is designed for. If you are fishing you may want to try shrimp or artificial lures. If you can get squid it works good too. You can try the power bait but I am not sure how it works in saltwater. When you get to the beach check with fisherman there to see what the fish are eating. Hope this helps.

Answer: I've used this bait in fresh water for trout but caught perch off of it. Some fish don't care about it when they're hungry. Who knows if you may get a bite or not in the salt water.if you want to try it but it lol

Answer: I'm terribly sorry, but I have no real answer, in that my only experience with power bait has been for trout in fresh water...I do know berkley produces baits for saltwater fishing, so i would suggest you hit your local sporting goods shops, or go to berkley.com and check for what will best meet your needs; as an aside, I am now going on 64 years old, and I still remember my first time fishing at a trout farm in granite falls, washington. I haven't stopped fishing yet!! Best of luck to you and your fortunate son!!!

Answer: We've caught sand & speckled trout here in Louisiana saltwater

Answer: Just scoop out with your finger, and form the bait into a ball and hook it through your hook, slightly exposing the hook. It does float. Good luck.

I tried several times trout fishing. This color more than any other they hit more often. I even tried fishing this with a different colors and were able to get hits when the bites were slow. This particular bait out performed the other PowerBaits when I was fishing.

it's great I us it ice fishing when it's -20 below zero and it work great I used shrimp before and it worked good but wound freeze all the time and i'd get cold hands so I tried this and it worked better and it did not freeze GOOD STUFF!!!!!!!!
