Worked great for a 12 pointer I had. Looks awesome with the Iron Buck Mount. Buy them together, you wont regret the money spent.

B Davis : Bad idea

This product is suppose to "adapt" smaller antlers like White Tailed deer. It doesn't. I am pretty good at adapting things. Not this time. You have to drill huge holes in the bottom of the antler and even if you get a straight line the angle might be wrong as the adapter fits at an angle. Those hex head bolts are HUGE but the metal is poor (broke it) and the hex appears to be metric (11mm?) As others have said you have to drill thru it also to allow the metal halves of the "Iron Buck" to close. The Iron Buck comes with 3 different size machine bolts. Again, they were not standard machine bolts so I wonder if they are metric also. I am going to try and build my own adapter in two separate pieces and see if I have more luck with that. I really like the look of the iron buck.....just don't think it was designed for smaller deer very well.

Accidentally damaged the skull plate cutting off my antlers, so decided to try this rout. Piece of crap Broke off in my antler, now I don't know what to do... Thanks alot now my first buck that I shot I can't mount.
