Do I have to add shrimp smell or just the way it is

Answer: I use them in fresh water to catch fish without any added scent and they work great.

Answer: Yes,The upper 2/3rd potion of this bait glows. I use mine for fluke fishing from shore in an inlet.High low rig.Caught a few keepers.

Answer: Yes they do, very bright but not for long

How are they packaged?

Answer: The baits are packaged in a resealable plastic bag. The number of baits per bag varies on the size of the bait. The 4-inch is 10 per bag and I believe the 5-inch is 8 per bag. The number of baits per bag is disclosed on the web site when you are ordering the various sizes.

What jig head do you use with the bass assassin sea shad lure?

Answer: I like slayer jigs in the 1/8 oz size but depending on conditions I also 1/4 oz. I prefer red most of the time.

Can these be used in freshwater?

Answer: I would say yes. They are very life like and are absolutely killer on Striped bass

Will these be effective with West Coast Species like Ling Cod, Sea Trout or Black Rock Bass? Have they been used in the Pacific Northwest?

Answer: Only know about the South Carolina coast. Excellent with sea trout here but not sure about your area. I use the Electric Chicken catching sea trout.

Answer: I’m not sure if they’ve been used in the PNW. I use bass lures for inshore salt species sometimes and they work. It’s about presentation more than anything. Give it a try!

Answer: Sorry, I'm in the northeast. The ones I use are primarily for striped bass and they work really well!

What Types Of Fish Will Go For This? Are There Any Specific Colors That Go With Any Specific Fish?

Answer: In saltwater red drum and speckled trout Luv-um-- colors that work the best are red w/ chartreuse tail--purple w/chartreuse tail--green pumpkin w/Chartreuse tail--Also use the lightest weighted jig head you can-1/16oz.--1/8oz. ect.

Answer: I use Chicken on a Chain color in 4” size for speckled trout and redfish. This color more closely matches bait fish in Galveston Bay. I’ve been told pink also works but haven’t tested it yet.

Answer: I got these to try with speckled trout and redfish as an option. As far as colour I wanted to mimic local bait fish. If I recall correctly one was called Chandelier Isle but that was a nostalgic call more than practical

Answer: This is a good bait with a 1/4 oz jig head for a speckled trout, white color work for Striped bass, rockfish and I find the spectum of the best color to be pink believe it or not pink picks up the color of the water and becomes the best overall.

Answer: I didn't have any chance to use it yet.

What size hook would be best?

Answer: Depends on what you are fishing for but I usually use a jig with a 3/0 to 5/0 hook for bass, stripers, redfish etc. I tend to use the Strike King Saltwater Flats jigs and similar jigs from other vendors. These are highly effective baits and the Limetreuse is generally the color that is most effective for me with Electric Chicken being my second choice.

RJ.Fiedler : This lure has great action in the water when used with the right jig.

Unfortunately this product is so soft and pliable,which makes for it's great action during a retrieve,it's nearly impossible to fish it on a regular ball jig without having to push it back up over the jig's barb after every cast.Otherwise because of it's shape it has to be used on an extra wide gap worm hook which restricts much of it's action.

I got into some redfish in a feeding frenzy on Carancahua Bay recently. I had the 4" Saltwater Assassin Sea Shad Bloody White on a 2 1/2" jig with a white jig head and caught these almost as fast as I could cast my line. I don't know if it would have mattered what I was casting that day, but they sure seemed to love the Bloody White.

This is for the acid rain color only... First, it catches fish. The only knock is that something must be wrong in the production of these because three of the 10 showed up with the green tails separated from the rest of the body, so only 70% of these were usable. I ordered several other color combos and didn't have any issues with those.

I love these soft plastics and it’s great they are on amazon, ive uses them for awhile for bass, pickerel, red fish and striper. They come in great colors, they make excellent trailers and they have a great action if you just fish them straight up on a jig head. The only downside I think they have is they are super soft and get ripped up easily, fish with teeth (or just strong fish) will massacre this soft plastic. But overall I really like these lures, and although they say “saltwater” they have tons of fresh and brackish applications.
