Does this float to the surface when you stop reeling it in?? Kind of like a dying fish...

Answer: Yes... It floats... throw it out... reel in the slack line... but let the lure float few seconds... twitch it a couple of times... most of my fish are caught with the twitch and on the surface... this is my go to lure of choice

I need to know the length. i don't know why they just can't simply put it in the description. the one i have is 2 and 1/4 in. that's the size i need.

this is a rapala lure and it come in new condition. i rate it low because i could have gotten it cheaper at bricks and mortar store and i quit puchasing fishing lures on line for that reason.

I typically fish rapalas more than anything else. This pattern of jointed rapala as well as the brook trout version seem to crush fish more than anything else I use.

I really like these lures. One of my go to lures when I'm stumped and not catching anything (which is often). I can get a few bites on this most of the time. And when the fish are in the mood for top water lures, this thing is awesome.

I've caught bass and sunfish/bluegills on this lure. Good sized panfish but only small bass which is why it only gets 4 stars. And yes, I know this is very likely more my fault than the lure. Lol.

I've always kept both a silver and gold in my box because in my area in Virginia, I do a lot of small river/Creek fishing, and the water conditions vary regularly. The action is nice, but not across current of course. I retrieve it by just reeling very slowly, or twitching, reeling fast with pauses, or any mix and match of those techniques, and they all produce.

I've had more luck with the gold here lately, I just caught a 1-1.5 lb smallmouth the other day (pretty respectable in that particular river) and saw a bigger one following as I reeled him in. On the next cast I hooked the big one (2-3 lb) but he took off under a rock and cut my line. So I'm now replacing it.
Gotta have it in my box, it's a pretty regular producer in both silver or gold for me, usually even on slower days.
