GREAT REELS

Reels work great and good value for the price. I gave it a four star instead of 5 because the crank handles due oxidize/corrode fairly quickly. I have been offshore fishing most of my life and know this model reel has this inherited quality issue on the crank handles. Other than that has been great!

hw_engineer : A timeless classic

I have owned the same BG13 reel since 2003. I have fished it at least twice a year since then at the beach. I wash it out with freshwater after every day and if you compared it to a brand new one I think you'd struggle to tell a difference.

I bought the BG90 and it has the same peformance but is a much more serious bit of kit. I think I need something like the BG40 but they are all exceptionally well made.
