Good reel for the wife

I have the size 10 reel. When taking the reel apart for maintenance I found that the reel only had 3+1 bearings instead of the 5+1 that is advertised. It looked like it was missing a bearing or bushing behind the oscillation gear, allowing the spool to have ~1/8" of play. It also looked like it was missing a ball bearing on the pinion gear since other reels i've serviced had 2 ball bearings and the anti-reverese bearing, and this reel only had 1 bearing and the antireverse bearing. Definitely poor quality control from Quantum on this reel/combo.

*Update*

After contacting Quantum they agreed that there were bearings missing from the reel and they are sending me a replacement reel. Excellent customer service on this issue.

Good reel for the wife

cristy mattis : fell apart!

Seemed like a decent reel but after a few uses the small bolt holding the "swing arm" allowing the bearing or pulley the string passes over to fall off into the water. This should not happen and don't know if they will replace these parts or where to find them?
