Answer: I don't believe the number is current or accurate. I think these values from eagle claw's website are the closest fit:

Answer: I put 1/2 a spool of 12LBS line on....not sure how many yards that is. There is still 1/4 to 1/8 space left on the reel. I am going to change it out...this line is too heavy for my fishing...This is my re-entry into fishing, and I over bought.....

I had an old Eagle Claw open face spinner that was given to me new when I was 12...that was a long time ago. It was stolen 2 years ago...so I got the Gunnison as a replacement. This is a big reel!. It will work fine for my lake fishing time...but will be too big for streams and rivers here in Colorado. This is a good real, but not up to the quality that the old ones were. There is no paperwork with this reel, no instructions or care and cleaning or anything...the box the real and the extra spindle. Would have been nice to have a some usage, care and cleaning info.
