is this good for peacock bass?

Im looking for a spit'n image jr. Where can i find it?

mine retrieves on it's side, regardless of the speed of the retrieve, is this normal?

Answer: Yes, this one needs to be retrieved with short yanks of the rod while winding it in, it will walk from side to side for best results.

Answer: Yes... it will walk like a spook the lay over when it stops.... I’ve had great success with it on stripers on the river!!! Great lure!!!

Answer: not on mine, it's supposed to sit with it's tail end slightly down in the water, not on it's side, then you pop the rod tip to make the lure jump. real in the slack and repeat till you get it back to the boat.

I have an original Spit'N Image and rarely used it.
It was an overcast day so I had it in my tackle and tried it.

I caught bass in this order:
3.15, 3.08,3.11 and finally 4.08
This was in about 40-50 casts - NEVER had a day like that in so few casts.
These are had to find but was excited to see them at Amazon!!

Don't work to good on sunny days but overcast or overcast and windy, they work great!!
Haven't had this same success but it still works and have landed bass in the 2-4lb range.

This thing has mind-boggling walk the dog action, equaled by only two other lures I know of. Shad/baitfish shape rather than minnow-like, high floater but rests at an angle, best in the more natural colors (like this one). Outstanding flash, with irridescent "scales" like those on real shad. I love working this puppy.

An excellent lure! River striper cannot resist if they are chasing shad!!! It looks more like a shad than any lure you will find! You can make it splash sporadically or just walk it like a spook! If striper are in the area, they will slam it!
