Not my best day but one of my better days smallie fishing by myself. Best six fish in mid May towards the end of prespawn on lake erie.

It looks like they were all 6+#

At a loss for superlatives Dwight. Those days are what it's all about.
Crazy Nice Bronze Backs Dwight.
Terry was right - that looks like an advertisement for your new fishing reality show ~
"Smallmouth Dynasty" (Minus the beard of course.)

Wowza x 6!
AWESOME!
What a day on the water for sure. That is one of those dream days for sure.

Amazing...thanks for sharing.
I can only relate back to when I fished the Columbia River in Oregon/Washington. Had many fifty plus fish days but mostly fish up to five pounds. Spring was amazing.

Totally awesome!!!! Those fish represent the reason why we fish for smallmouth bass! I've never caught smallies that big.
I've had several of good days however, with maybe 40 bass each of us, between 2 1/2 - 4 1/2 lbs. on the Quabbin. And on two separate days we landed (and released) a "quad". That's two bass on float rigged Senkos and two on the drop shot - all at the same time - while anchored on a deep shelf. (We are allowed two rods per person here.) Talk about a frenzied fire drill!
Smallies are GREAT!
Wow!! Nice smallies guys.
Wow!!! Where abouts did you take those smallies??

I did - and I'm hoping that I can be there when the next "best day" happens.
When it comes to smallmouth fishing big water, the man is a pioneer.

I need to get up there! Usually when people hit Erie they are going for Wallies. I am thinking maybe branching out is in order!
Not the same quality as those Lake Erie bass, But last summer I went on a smallie quest to the U.P. of Michigan and in 2 days landed 17 smallies on a small lake between 3 and 4 1/2 lbs. dragging a crawfish tube. Not another boat on the water, eagles and ospreys everywhere. This is a C&R lake but no one fishes it. Also caught 20 LM between 1.5 and 2.5 lbs. on another lake on the same trip. U.P.= Gods country
I love the color/marking variations between the two pigs you're holding side by side. Smallies rock! Beautiful fish -
Wow. Nice smallies Dwight! I can't wait to get back up Erie this year. What lure were you using that day?
I' m not sure Joe but I think it was lc pointer 100.
officially jealous.
Outstanding smallies Dwight! I would love to have one of those days!
My best day was also on Erie near Buffalo, in the fall of 2010. It was an odd, slick calm, 60+ degree Nov. day. We crushed them from the time we got there till the time we left...........tubes and drop shot. NOW........when I say crush........... it was/is comapired to the WNY smallmouth fishing I am used to on the inland lakes like Silver/Conesus/etc..., where a great day is a dozen or so fish, with most of them being in the upper 3-4lb range. In the 8 or so hours we were out there that day on Erie, we probably boated 30+ fish each, both of our best five were over 20lbs, and we each had multiple 5lbers, and I had one pushing 6. Again not "fantastic" by some Erie standards, but still my best day for just brown fish.
My best day was a week earlier when I caught 15 smallmouth, 8 over 5 lbs. The following
Saturday I caught two consecutive PBs.

That sounds pretty fantastic to me Brad. You gotta love those slick calm fall days on lake erie because there is never enough of them.
5lb 4oz of fantastic smallie caught in about 40ft off a deep point on the Rideau chain. Fantastic day, fantastic 10 days actually. Was on my holidays last year, had a day out with JFrancho fishing a tournament on Cayuga, a day on Oneida with my buddies Jim snr and Jim jnr, then met up with Tim who took me to his cottage on the Rideau chain. We fished early mornings and evenings together and he worked during the day. I took his boat out and fished the days while he was working. We'd been out early and caught a smallie off this point and I fancied it would do a few more fish with a bit more attention. Went back and camped on it for a while and caught this tremendous fish on a drop shot along with a few lesser smallies and largemouth. Fantastic day. I was so hyped up by this fish that I had to give myself a talking to to get myself to calm down.
The best day smallie fishing is ANY day smallie fishing!!
My best day was at lake erie on june 30 2010
There was 3 of us on the boat and i bet we caught 150-175 small mouth from 3-5 lbs. It was every cast for hours. Then all of a sudden the quit. I honestly think i caught them all lol.
Another time on erie my dad caught a 7lb 1 oz smallie on a carolina rig with a 3" black senko. That thing was huge...
