Nice work Jason. I did a similar restoration of my 1977 Glastron Sportster last winter. If you are interested I posted a description of my restoration under the post heading "for those who can appreciate a good ole project" . It's on pace 5 of this forum, dated Nov. 24. Happy Fishing.

Excellant Job!!!
sweet ride!
Great job!
Did you get the windshields from Custom mold and tint?
One other thing, I would definitely replace the livewell overflow hose on the rear livewell whether it needs it or not. I know it's a pain in the arse to do but those things were known to crack due to age and the fact that the overflow thru hull fitting is normally underwater while the boats in the water is not a good thing.
Dude, you did a great job!! how about redoing my boat
Thanks for the nice replys everyone :] the windshields are the original windshields that came on the boat and we replaced all the live well hosing on the boat. we still need to get a trolling motor and wire it on but other than that we've been fishing out of it already and everything runs great on the boat.
That is remarkable. I assume you painted over the gelcoat. I wonder how that holds up?
Great work!
Good job. Boat really looks nice. Enjoy it.
Good job man! I expect there will be many bass caught in that rig.
my dad and i sanded off the brown paint and then he handed me a book full of diff. color paints and he told me to pic one thats how it inded up the aqua color.
great job.
Awesome job!
i give it 2 Oars up !!
Talk about daylight and dark. Awesome job!!
Man you did a awesome job on that champion! Looks awesome congrats!!!
Looks like a brand new boat! Sweet job how much did you spend on the restoration, and how long did it take you to get it done?
Nice job! dont let anyone stand on you paint though>
it cost us about 1200 to restore it and we worked on it a couple hours a day
sweet ride
great work!!
I have an '84 Champion very similar to your boat. I desparately need to restore the hull appearance. Would you share how you restored yours? What brand and type paint did you use? Did you have it painted at a shop or do it yourself? Reason I ask is that most of your 2-part poly paints require a license to apply, special equip, etc.
If you painted over the gel-coat, I would would really like to know details if you wouldn't mind sharing. My boat is in great shape except in the looks department. It is really bad and it is beyond wet sanding, rubbing compounds, polishes, etc. being able to restore.
Thanks in advance for the info.

Beautiful boat!!!! Great Job!!! You will catch many trophy bass in that rig. Good fishing

WOW HOLY CRAP MAN!!!!! you did an great job!!!
Makes me wanna find an old boat and fix it up...
AWESOME WORK !!!!
Wow, I have a line on a 20' 1979 myself right now and this has given me some serious motivation to go look at the boat. The hull seems to be in decent shape, but the guy says the starter has not worked for a couple years.....maybe the engine is done too. On the other hand the price is right.
Nice work!
Great Job looks awesome.
