2001 Pro-Craft Pro 175 DC I sent my deposit out today, let me know what you think.
Nice.
How much and what size engine?
I paid $9750 and the engine size is 125 ELPT
here is another pic
I don' know how to post them all on one post so please bear with me.
Looks like it's in pretty good shape. Nice boat. From my experience, the good thing about buying a used boat is a year or two after you buy it, you can turn around and sell it for nearly what you paid for it. They don't depreciate all that fast if you keep them in good condition and didn't overpay to begin with.
When I go down to Bass Pro Shops to buy tackle, I like to take a look at the prices on the boats they're selling... Unbelievable. They want over $10,000+ for a small aluminum bass tracker with a little 30 hp engine. :
Give me a break. What sucker are they selling that too?
Below is a picture of a boat I just looked up for sale at Bass Pro Shops. Listing price: $11,295. :
I was'nt going to get a bass boat, I had my mind set on the Tracker Tundra because of my kids. Now get this my wife said get what you want, my two youngest are 2years and 10months they still have alot of time before they can go out on any boat. My 15yr and 6yr old are going to be so happy!!!
WOW!!! That's a clean boat. Sounds like you got a good deal. I hope you and your family make a lot of memories on it and catch a bunch of bass.
It comes with full compression test and complete inspection, everything is gauranteed to be in in working order.
How much thrust on the trolling motor?
I'm not sure of the thrust in the pics it has two batteries in one compartment an one in another.
2 batteries obviously means it's 24 volts and my guess would be it's 45 lb thrust. Your trolling motor looks EXACTLY like the old Motor Guide I used to have.
Mine eventually died and I replaced it with a junky old used 12 volt 30 lb motor .... that just ain't enough. I need a little more power to motor through the thick vegetation and for when the wind is blowing pretty hard. My old motor was perfect.
I'd like to buy a new one, but good lord, the prices on those things are ridiculous.
Dang, she's purdy!
Good luck with her!
That's one beautiful boat!
Looks in great shape Conrats & good luck!
Very nice boat! Congrats, I only wish I had something like that. Good luck fishing!
Congratulations on the new ride.
Thank you guys for all the positive replies
Betcha the thrust on your trolling motor's 67lbs. 12 or 24 volts. It'll have a red switch on the left side; 3 positions... 12, off, 24.
Your 125 merc is max for the boat and if you put a jackplate on it you'll get about 55mph loaded. Its a 4 cylinder, 5200rpm is max after break in. Dealers love to put 3 blade 26 on it to keep you from bumpin your rev limiter, but I found a 24 4blade worked better, holeshot much better. For a 17'6" Boat, its got about as much storage as any on the market. You'll have a ball with it! One word though about keepin it dry! Theres alot of wood in your boat keep it from molding or mildewing. Keep it dry as much as you can. I didn't and it started to rot before I sold it. Mine was a 2000 Bill Dance Edition DC
Awesome looking boat. Hey Gobbledog keep in mind in order for there to be any used boats someone has to buy a new.

BillyBob, How did yours handle rough water?
For a 17.5 footer, like a dream! I fished an ABA National on KY. Lake....used my boat all 3 days.. drove through Barkley Canal...traveled down Barkley to US68 bridge with the "Big" Boys... no problem, except had to stop and get gas both comin and going. That was the biggest problem...too small of a gas tank. I took it to Big "O" in Florida and went broke buying gas..but had no problem fishing or driving it. But in smaller tournaments around here I went into creeks and coves the longer boats couldn't get turned around in. Cruise range aint that big of a deal on a 4000 acre lake. Cruise range will be about 30 miles out. 60 miles RT. Its a good, safe, dry ride, for that size boat. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine. By the way,.. I got 10K when I sold her and she'd been rode hard and put away wet! ;D

Yep. But did you see what Bass Pro Shops is asking for a new boat? A dinky jon boat with no trolling motor and small little outboard? You'd have to have money to burn to buy any boat from them, IMO.
I'll stick with used boats for the time being. Like I did and like benzo did, there are a lot of pretty good deals out there.
Congrats on the new boat. She's a beauty!
That is a great looking boat and set up. Exactly what I'd be looking for in size/hp and layout. Price too! I fish out of a 16 foot mon ark right now with a 40HP Merc. Paid 5k for the boat 7 years ago. Works great for where I fish it most, shallow rocky river area and flowages. Hardly run the main engine, use the trolling motor right from the boat ramps. Wish I had a little more stability and speed. When I finally finish paying off my student loans in 2 years, I'll be looking for something exactly like what you just bought. Very nice boat, a few years old. Something that I'm not going to have a heart attack with if I put a few dings in the finish. Congrats, hope it runs well for you!
Nice!! I just traded my 2000 Pro185 w/ 150 efi Merc in on a Ranger. I had the Boat since it was new and it never gave me one problem in the 5 years I had it. (Boat or Motor) Hope you have the same experiance.
