I just got done using my Geryon Vacuum sealer for the beef jerky I made when the vacuum canister arrived.
I was already planning to use the leftover top round steak from my jerky project for dinner, but now I can do a vacuum marination.
I love how the canister comes with a tube (in addition to the one that came with the sealer), and I’m even more impressed that it came with a replacement nozzle.
I’ve had these break before on the ‘leading brand’ vacuum sealer, and they wanted $20 to replace the tube.
I continue to be more and more impressed with Geryon’s products and consumer focus!

FrankMMIII : Holds Firm.
I had problems getting my Food Saver to work, so I had to rig a way to use my Debbie Meyer vacuum sealer to work. All I did was remove the fitting off the end of the hose allowing me to use just the tubing and then removed the liquid catcher on the Debbie Meyer vacuum pump(I should have made a video). I was then able to pull a vacuum on the GERYON Vacuum Seal Container and it held for over 8 hours before I finally released it to let the water dry out that was left in it from washing it out. I'm looking forward to using it to marinade my Beef Jerky from Alton Brown's recipe. Before I was using the Debbie Meyer Reynolds Vac Bags but you can't get the marinade out once you draw it into the vacuum channels rendering them unsanitary and thus useless. The GERYON container is large enough to hold the full 2lbs. of meat and marinade and allowing me to pull a vacuum sucking the air out of the meat while replacing it with the liquid marinade allowing it to marinate faster and more effectively. My youngest son got home from college Saturday afternoon for the Labor Day Weekend and I made some Jerky in the Debbie Meyer Vac Bags(that I had to throw out) for him to take back to school. Two pounds of London Broil marinated and then put in my new Homdox Food Dehydrator(from amazon) for around 6 hours a its highest setting of 158° and he had half of it already eaten by the time he left on Monday.

This really works, and I love it! The container is thick and sturdy, and seems like it will hold up for a long time. I put it to the test with half of an avocado... It kept it green for days in the refrigerator!
