how many pages is it? does it tell you when to use certain flies for that time of year and are there colored pictures of the flies! give me more info!

Answer: The book is around 24 pages it is small but it covers a lot as far as rod and reel selection line and leader selection. Shows all the different knots to use and when to use them. Covers all the flies and progression of the flies. Does not tell you what time of the year to use them. Need to check with local shop and find out what they are hitting on. Tells you how to present the fly and also how to trouble shoot your castin. Overall very good information in a small book.

Answer: 24 pages long and filled with great info. Of course flies hatch during the spring of the year. It won't tell you the exact time of year, which is area dependent. But it focuses on where you would use a particular fly type and the strategy used depending on water conditions. It will describe the flies life cycle, but it would be up to you observe what cycle the fly is in for your area. The book is water proof an a great reference to have.

Answer: The book is a basic guide to flyfishijng , in black and white, designed to give you basic information on stream reading , types of rods , leader and tippet selection and knots.There are no current pocket sized guide books that I know of that show flies in color as there are too mam types and variations to list.There is however , some information on flies and hooks at the back of the book.

Answer: I don't have the book with me currently, but trust the reviews ... it's a very handy little book. It has way more knots than you'll ever need and certainly has the (for me anyway) the 5 or so key 'go-to' knots.

Pocket Guides Guide to Fly Fishing Knots is a very well made little book .It's a great little book to put in your fisherman's vest, so when you need to tie a knot that you may have forgotten how, you just pull it out of your vest pocket and look up the knot
of your choice.I love it for two reasons.One:The book is made of plastic so water wont affect it.Two:It's small enough to put in your vest while fishing, so if you need to refer it,it's right there with you.Great idea with great instructions.
