Will these seal mylar bags?

Answer: Yes, and it doesn't require a lot of pressure.

I’d like to put about 10 drops of essential oil’s in it and seal it will they stay or will it leak?

Answer: I use this to seal my Colorstreet nail polish strips. It seals them tight. They stay fresh and don't dry up. I believe what you want to fo would work too.

Can this seal poly bags?

Answer: I haven't tried using it for polybags yet but it works great with bag of chips that is made up of foil. Seals it well

Will this work for my 1.4mil cello cookie bags? Anyone used it for this?

Answer: I haven't ,but it has worked on anything I sealed .chips, cookies and candy bags

AllyCat : Works really well, good value, easy to use

This is such an easy and inexpensive solution to keeping food from going stale. Now, it does say “hair straightener” on one side, but the label says it’s a heat sealer. Either way, it works really well, assuming it’s a smaller bag. And it only takes a couple of seconds to stick. Then, when you go to open it, it’s like a brand new seal. It’s a terrific product, that’s practical and inexpensive (and you can always fix your hair on the fly).

I got this to heat seal our chip bags and things like that. This heats up fairly fast and gets really hot. When sealing a bag of chips, you have to clap this down and immediately release it or it will melt the bag away. In the attached photo you can see the corner of the bag as a heat seal. The bag ripped downward and I held this on for like 3 seconds and it nearly melted the bag corner off. You can not adjust the heat up or down so you have to work with the heat it provides. I sealed the rest of the bag as a clamp and release it immediately, for a tight seal that did not melt my bag away. Once you know how to use this for the plastic you are sealing, it works effectively and great. I still recommend it even though I wish the heat was adjustable.

Pikmin : Too small and powerless to do the job

I am not satisfied with this product. I am not able to seal plastic chips properly without waiting a few minutes to warm up. I am taking about 5 minutes wait - too long! To be useful, I expect the warm up time should be 10 to 20 seconds.
