This is a awesome item, particularly for Ice fishing. is compact and handy. You can keep it warm in your pocket, so it functions in sub-zero temperature.

i bought the scale because it was decent price for an electric scale. when i opened the package and tried to use it it wouldn't turn on so i replaces the battery and it still didn't work. then i opened it up and upon further inspection i found the 2 of the wires went even connected and neither was the screen.

If you're looking for a simple to use, lower weight range digital scale for large mouth bass and the like, this will do the trick. Take note of the instructions because it's not intuitive to go from kg to pounds. My first one went into the drink (long story) and I replaced it with the same product rather than take a chance with something new. I've owned scales in the past with so many buttons and features-- basically I want to weigh my fish and be done with it.

Out of the package it did not work, when I pulled the tape/insulator from the battery compartment and hit the switch nothing happened. I took out the battery, it was in upside down. Then I tested some know weights, I wanted accuracy in the 12 to 20 lb range, and the device did not return correct values for known items (off more than 1 to 2 lbs). Amazon was excellent and let me return for full refund. I then ordered the same brand "tube scale", received the next day and it measures spot on in the range I want. So much for going digital.

Ended up sending this back. Tested it against 2 postal scales and it was not accurate at all. With weights as low as a pound it was off by at least several ounces and it only got worst with heavier weights. I didn't expect precision with such a small cheap scale but I wouldn't even call these readings close.

This is a nice little half palm size scale that will fit easily in my freshwater tackle box. I had to pick mine up at the Bass store on my way home from Poches RV Park in Louisiana to weigh my son's hefty catfish. It did the job but I will have to reserve a 5 star until I see how it holds up.
