L : A nice little scale.

The scale, for my purposes, will be used for weighing fish in an ametuer capacity. This scale is my second one by this brand. A 25 pound capacity will be enough for me being a freshwater angler.

A drawback is that the scale is small and may be a bit hard to hold when weighing a fish, e.g., a five pound bass. There is no grab handle or much of a grip on the sides.

Two nice features are that the weighing hook can pop into a receptacle on the back of the scale and, also, the small size, it will fit into a small, day trip tackle bag or box.

I'm an active angler, and I've loved other Rapala products. This scale, however, is awful. I had problems turning it on the first day I used it, and he second time I tried using it it just wouldn't turn on. A waste of money. Invest in something better that has gotten good reviews on Amazon.

Ended up sending this back. Tested it against 2 postal scales and it was not accurate at all. With weights as low as a pound it was off by at least several ounces and it only got worst with heavier weights. I didn't expect precision with such a small cheap scale but I wouldn't even call these readings close.

whodatic : A nice pocket or tackle box scale

This is a nice little half palm size scale that will fit easily in my freshwater tackle box. I had to pick mine up at the Bass store on my way home from Poches RV Park in Louisiana to weigh my son's hefty catfish. It did the job but I will have to reserve a 5 star until I see how it holds up.

This is an excellent scale for under $20. It functions well, and is very consistent on same weight display testing with the same fish.
This scale is very light weight, compact, and travels easily in bag or vest.
The hook folds under, and rests inside scale body when not in use.
I've used it since April weighing stripers and largies on Lake Murray SC, and have had no issues.
