Does this have a single braking system, or dual?

Answer: a single braking system

So is the drag washers really drag washer is "one piece" of scrap foam? How can that work?

Answer: the drag washers work fine in my reel make sure you don't have grease or oil on them .

when buying a reel it says it has so many bearing 7, 8, 9, etc. what does the + 1 mean

Answer: Don't quote me on this, but I believe it's 10 bearings and 1 is added to the shaft for smoothness! I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty close. The more ball bearings the smoother the reel. Stainless bearing preferred. This is an ok reel, but not in the same class as my Diawas or shimonos. My preference though

Answer: it means that the plus 1 is the anti-reverse bearing or roller bearing if a reel claims more then 7 bearings the rest are in the handle

Answer: *Much* more important than that sheer number of bearings are the *quality* of the bearings. If the bearings are poor quality, the reel won't feel smooth and will not last, regardless of the number of bearings they claim.

Would this reel hold up to muskie fishing? Like casting twin 10's on a spinner bait and battling a muskie?

Answer: The first reel I received failed after about 30 minutes of fishing. The release bar would not fully depress so it would grind when trying to cast and would not reel in. The company replaced the reel with a new one. I took the original apart twice and finally got it working. The reel seems ok but I gave both to my son-in law. I just did not fish either reel enough to know for sure how well it will hold up. I fish hard and in lots of cover(Lilly pads) but the largest bass I catch are 8 - 9 lbs. I'm not sure how this reel would hold up to a Muskie.

Answer: Muskie fishing? Not a chance. See the pictures I posted, in particular, the drag "system". I'm being kind when i call it a "system" - it's basically one piece of scrap foam, lol. This reel would last about 6 seconds against a Muskie. For fish like Muskie, you gotta spend about $200. Think reels like Daiwa Lexa, Shimano Curado, Abu Beast, etc.

T M MOORE : takes a lot of getting used to

ok,i gave this a 3 star, just consider I'm an old guy used to the 202's of the 60's, so someone used to this type of reel would like it better. I bought this mainly because of the cool color and I thot it had a centrifugal brake which it does not. this came with no instructions, luckily I had bought an agility from a big box store and knew how to set the adjustments. I'm not the brightest bulb in the box and probably have the world record in bird nests! ok with that said, I like the way to remove the spool better ( is more user friendly), the star drag is more adjustable for small crappie in my local pond also. after practicing in the back yard, I have the distance dialed in really nice but still have to learn to control the accuracy. I was casting nicely with my side winder cast, but tried to cast over head as the agility instructions said to and got another bird nest. I cant seem to get the hang of over head casting. hope you can!

This reel crashed after only one hour of fishing. The release button would not fully disengage causing a grinding sound when casting and would not re-engage to retrieve lure. The company replaced the reel though it was a few weeks past warranty. I will try the new reel on my next fishing trip and update my review accordingly.

This may be a lesser known name brand but it certainly has quality and anodized construction, with the 8 bearing smooth is the word for the day
15 # test fluorocarbon line, Once adjusted to proper tensions... took a while to get them properly set... the backlashes were intense.. I recommend you tighten it first off and before you attempt a casting. This reel need 3/8 to 3/4 weights for any castings without practice... Once this reel is adjusted
it will give you excellent results and service. Suggest you adjust the drag bass tension till fish on.

I bought it. I got it loaded it with Stren 14 lb smooth cast. loaded the boat up went to the water and was impressed on how well it worked. threw 3/8 oz chatterbugs, spinnerbaits and rattle traps. It worked better than I thought it would got it on a 7ft rod. I done the same thing with a Kastking white max. and no matter how many times I set the kastking it would backlash after about 20 times of that . The Kastking is in the bottom of the lake.

First wow..... this is a amazing reel for the price, it is perfect for folks learning how to use a closed/bait caster reel. Bought it for the wife. And she is doing great, with the adjustable tensioners there is low chance of rats nesting the reel. Defiantly recommend for anyone wanting to learn a new style of fishing but don't want to break the bank.

So far a good reel, fished with twice no problems casts very nicely. I've used baitcasters for nearly 20 years and for the money spent it's done fine I have about 30 baitcasters mostly Shimano's and Abu Garcia's and it doesn't compare to those but again for the price it's a good deal, I bought for the crazy green color and curiosity because it was inexpensive. I'd probably do it again

Good quality and cast well provided it is properly adjusted for the lure being used but must be readjusted for each lure change or backlashes may occur. No user instruction manual was provided. I would not recommend this for a beginner but it worked great when properly adjusted and used by an experienced fisherman.
