What’s the gear ratio on this reel?

what is the diference in 200, 300 and 400 models?

Answer: I bought the reel for my husband, and he isn't here to help, but I looked on the Shimano site and think I have a good guess. The numbers seem to be related to the size of the reels and how much line they can hold. As they get bigger, they also weigh more and have different gear ratios. This affects the rate of retrieval per crank and the larger reels have greater maximum drag. This is my guess, and I hope it helps.

What is the biggest fish you would want to fish with this reel? LBS

Answer: The 400 is quite a capable little reel... locally here in the NE, Striped bass to 50#, 20-40# school Bluefin tuna, mahi & such

Answer: I dont have the measurements but I would say it is about 40% smaller than the regular calcutta 400. It is actually very confortable to palm.

Answer: You could catch a small tuna if you pair it up with a good rod!
