This review is for a set of three PetUlove Bass Swimbaits lures.
I was working in my garage on a modification to my fishing canoe when Amazon delivery dropped off this package at the entrance. Quite literally, within an hour, I was in the canoe, testing out the modification and I decided to try out these lures by trolling at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised when I hooked a bass on the first cast.
I have been fishing for a decade on the small artificial lake which my house backs on to. I have tried dozens of different, sophisticated lures without much success and I typically default to a Johnson spoon when trolling and plastic worms when bank-casting. These PetUlove swimbaits have restored my enthusiasm for lures and I expect to use them frequently. I have put all three in the easy-access section of my tackle box.
The color and craftmanship is exceptional, the weight is perfect for distance casting, the hooks are razor-sharp and the segmented body produces a pleasing tail-wiggle-action with medium/fast retrieval.

I can get to offshore fishing grounds on a routine basis, just to break up COVID-19 lockdowns. I am beginning to develop a powerful liking for jointed lures intended for freshwater fish. About the only adjustment is knotting a 1 oz lead weight to the leader to drag these lures down to 40 ft. They are constantly swimming as they sink, tempting fish all the way down.
