Answer: I change the hooks on all my Pop-Rs. Saltwater fish can be much bigger and require stronger hooks. I use Mustad KVD elite trebles which are stronger and sharper than stock hooks. I use these for my bass fishing as well. They allow more hook ups and more fish in the boat. Most lures come with hooks that are not as good as what they can be. My devils horses, for example, come with less quality hooks than I like to use. Hope this helps! By the way I LOVE topwater bites. AND the Triple Threat are a real bargain.

Answer: I doubt this lure is suitable for long term use in Salwater. However if you are willing to change the treble hooks once you see a sign of rust it should be fine.

Answer: It has been awhile since I bought these...but the 3" has about #4 hooks and the 1 3/4" ones have about #6 or #8 hooks. I stocked up on the 1 3/4 " ones since they proved to be deadly on spring smallmouth bass and chain pickerel (in East coast Canada). I have bought a selection of Rebel poppers...work well and great price...
Answer: I use the hook size that comes with the lure, it appears to be a #4. It works very well as I use these lures for top watering for Smallmouths. You should purchase a package with 3 different colors as the colors seem to work in different cloud cover and water calmness.

Answer: I ordered this three-pack and I got exactly what is pictured- foxy momma, foxy shad and foxy lady. I don't think the foxy lady is available anywhere as a single lure, so I bought an extra 3 pack that I am saving unopened for my collection
Answer: Those are the three I got in my package and seem to be the same set when displayed at a retail location. It's a great deal for these poppers. They typically go for $5 a pop (see what I did there?) if purchased separately. I've caught dozens largies and smallies on my set of three.

Answer: Guess things have changed since 2014. I just measured mine and the body of the lures are 2 1/2" long. Rebel makes a magnum size, but they are only 3" long. Can't find any by Rebel that are 3 1/2". BTW - they weigh 1/4oz in case you're wondering.
Answer: Medium 3-3.5" Personally I can't see much difference between these Rebel lures & the $25 Lovina poppers other than hook quality & the extreme sharpness of the Lovina brand. Don't think the bass see much difference as well.
Answer: They are not the 'small' ones, i don't have the packaging anymore but they are awesome for bass. Cast great and action with just a twitch make it look like a frogs stroke (splash and rattle brings great action) i have caught over 30 bass in 3 outings and still have two pop r's who have not been wet ... three pack is the best price around...

Answer: Rebel lures are made of plastic. The Rebel company says that making the lures out of plastic gives a more consistent result due to the predictable density/weight of the material.
Answer: Plastic. They are very durable. Only popper I use!

The title says it all. These are my favorite poppers. Not sure if my fishing style, but always get that perfect popping sound you must have to get the fishes attention whilst also sounding natural. I have had more strikes on these than any other top water lure, however the hooks are very average, and can be changed. Best value of any quality poppers out there.

I've caught 30+ largemouth on these so far. I use these very early in the mornings or late at night and the bass love them. They also hold up very well, I catch 3-6 lb largemouth and have only slightly bent one hook so far, which was easy to fix with pliers. I cast, wait a few seconds, pop it 3 times, pause, reel a little and repeat. One of my favorite top water lures for sure.

I used this lure up north on a cold water clear lake and was pleasantly surprised on its action in a slight wave and the results. The water temp was about 62 degrees and this lure still brought fish up from 10 to 15 ft deep.
It worked very well in cloudy conditions and really makes a loud burping sound.
I will purchase another in an off beat darker color to see how it works, but this did what I expected.

No fish yet but the first day out I got four nibbles. Fish are really attracted to this lure. I am used to soft plastics, top water, hard plastic is a whole another game, landing a fish takes a bit of practice but once I learn how to pop and reel this lure it should work great.

Pop R lures are a niche topwater bait. When you can use them they are a lot of fun; I just wish they were useful more often. I do best with them at first and last light. Pop R is the name used for this type of bait even by other makers. Rebel lures can be brittle. Over the past 25 years I've broken quite a few. But they are priced the same as many soft baits that will be shredded after 5-6 fish. This 3 pack is quite a deal compared to purchased singly.

Now I’m teaching my 6 1/2 year old how to fish. Picked up a small boat so we can find better spots.
I’ve tried different poppers, but never had any luck. Maybe I hadn’t used them correctly in the past or just wasn’t lucky.
I finally caught a small mouth on one of these. Awesome catch watching it come out of the water for it.
Although the exact one I used isn’t in this kit, I bought the kit because the one I had worked.

I purchased a 7' ultra light rod and several of these Teeny Pop R lures and can tell you it is the most fun I have ever had fishing. They are small and small fish will go after them, that is fun catching brim. But big fish will "blow-up" on them too and that is really fun. To have a 2 to 3 pound Bass hit top water on an ultra-light outfit is exciting and it is an experience you will remember. Buy this lure and add it to your fishing inventory. And also forget those people that tell you that fish will only hit top water in the warm summer months. I have had them hit this lure year round. If you throw it they will come.
