decided to purchase the Goscien Vacuum Sealer because I find myself wanting to go the store less often. As a result of this, I buy larger quantities of food so I do not have to go as often. I found myself throwing out food. The Vacuum Sealer has been my savior. It is light weight and easy to store which is essential for our small kitchen. It come with a starter kit with two different size bags. I found this help full because I have never used one of these before and did not know how big to make the bag. I really like how it has a built in cutter. Another feature I really like with this particular product is that it has a vacuum hose for sealing canned goods. There are multiple different functions. It take sound 20-30 seconds to seal your bag. The Vacuum Sealer is capable of sealing dry and wet food. So far, I have been doing a lot of meal prepping which it works perfect for! I have used it on vegetables, smoked meats, marinade raw meats and freezing left over meals. I recommend this for anyone who is just starting out using a vacuum sealer because it is very easy to use.

I bought this five months ago and probably used it five times. I haven't even gotten to the "refill" pkgs. yet. Today was the most frustrating. The machine would turn red and the pkg. was not sealed. One pkg. took a minimum of 8 times before I got it sealed. One pkg. did not seal the whole way. Before each seal I wiped the moisture off per instructions. The size was ideal for my small kitchen, but I would not recommend this product.

Its a simple unit, so didn't take too many instructions, but the English language is hilariously translated. But you get the idea. The bags are big enough to contain a couple of italian sausages.
The Sealer machine itself is pretty powerful, and very easy and immediate to use.
It can seal pretty big bags, they are bigger than ones I used in the past (even though it's not a good reference).
The machine however doesn't occupy a lot of space.

This is my first vacuum sealer. I got it because I wanted to start portioning out fish and different meats and keep them fresh longer for meal prepping.
The box only contained a accessory tube which is used for sealing jars (something I might use in the future), a manual, some sealing bags, and the device itself. The sealing bags it comes with can probably hold 10-12 ounces of food.
The manual is only a few pages long which I thought was short for a device like this but I guess I was overthinking it.
After you put whatever you want in the vacuum bag, you simply open the sealer it by pressing two buttons on both sides of the sealer. Then you place the bag in a horizontal opening on the bottom row of the sealer, close it (when its locked, the buttons you pressed in to open it will push out again) and press the "Vac seal" button. Then press the seal button and your done.
There is a sliding cutter in it that you can use as well if you are sealing smaller items in larger bags so that they don't take up too much room in your freezer or fridge too.
It does everything I wanted to use it for without being overly complicated. If you meal prep, buy in bulk, I would definitely recommend it.
