✅ Tabletop Impulase Heat Sealer ---Important Notice: The light only turns on and the sealer is activated when the handle is pressed down! The Metronic tabletop impulse sealer, quickly seals different types of plastic packaging. The impulse heat sealer melts one layer of plastic to another, creating a strong permanent seal that can only be broken by cutting or ripping it open. Make sealing poly bags a quick and easy process! Set includes 2 replacement heating elements and fuse.
✅ Safe and Easy To Use --- Metronic impulse sealers are safe and easy to use. The heating element in the impulse sealer is not constantly heated. Once pressure is applied to the sealing arm, the heat sealer quickly seals the material and creates a seal. The light will turn on when the sealer is activated, and will turn off once sealing is completed.
✅ No Warmup Time Needed --- No warmup or cooldown time needed, safe and simple to use. Impulse sealers are very convenient and safe because they can be immediately used, and the chance of being burned is minimal. An impulse sealer can save your business time and money. The impulse sealer will only apply heat whenever the arm is down and in contact with the material and base.
✅ Adjustable Timer Setting ---Adjustable heat settings for the different materials being used. For most applications, using the impulse heat sealer at heat setting of 3 is sufficient. However, different temperature settings will be more suitable for certain materials of a higher or lower melting point or thickness.
✅ Quality And Satisfaction Guarantee ---At Jiaro International, we are deeply committed to providing a superior shopping experience to our customers. Every product comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return for a refund or exchange.

Questions about Metronic 8 inch Impulse Bag Sealer Poly Bag Sealing Machine Heat Seal Closer with Repair Kit in Black
Q:
The documented sealing length for this is 200mm which is less than that on the 12" (FS-300) version (300mm). Is this a typo or actually true?
Answer: No 12" sounds about right, it does a great job once you figure out the correct heat settings.recommend
Q:
I bought this sealer over three months ago and is still working nicely, however I was wondering if I could use a thicker heat element?
Answer: No a thicker element would pull more power and blow the fuse if you want a thicker element you have to buy one triple the cost. I just double seal
Q:
Can you use this on Mylar balloons?
Answer: Don't see why not all it does is heat and melt plastics. I would do a little research into what exactly what MYLAR IS MADE OF. You can adjust the heating range
Q:
Will this seal 5 gallon mylar bags?
Answer: If you can get the timer set for Mylar, it is a distinct possibility that it will work. Plastic are tricky, and so I can't guarantee it because I have not actually tried Mylar per se and don't know exactly what type or grade or thickness you are using.
Answer: yes it should if the bag will fit the length of the unit. Works well. I really like it.
Q:
What size fuse does this take?
Answer: What is stamped on the glass tube fuse is F6AL250V. It's 3/4" long or 20mm and about 3/16" diameter or 5mm.
Answer: 2PC size , I also heard a 5 amp fuse will work.
Answer: F6AL250V
Q:
Can this be used to seal 2 layers of 12 guage clear vinyl together?
Answer: It works on vinyl, up to 10 mils thick.
Answer: yes this has a temperature control on it, works great
Answer: Yes
Q:
Can this be used to deal two pieces of laminating plastic together?
Answer: I'm not sure about that. I use it to seal plastic bags that don't fit on my vacuum sealer. I would try a small piece first to make sure that it seals safely.
Q:
How does this cut as there are no blades?
Answer: Doesn't cut, just seals the plastic together by heat
Answer: It doesn't cut. There isn't any cutter.
Answer: How does it cut? I'll tell you how: This is the SECOND sealer I have bought, reviewed by mail, plugged it in, seen no light, no heat, no function emitting from the stupid thing. USELESS! Do not order one of these by mail! At least through Khol's anyway; they're sending out broken products.
Answer: That is not what it does. It seals the plastic with heat.
Q:
can this be used to seal two pieces of fiberglass material or two pieces of pvc material. Specifically the hem bar pocket on roller shades?
Answer: I am not sure, but I am leaning towards no. I have used this extensively with shrink wrap film and bags to seal items. I have tried to seal plastic and it works so so but not really very good. Since this works by sending a quick electrical current I doubt it would get hot enough or stay hot enough for your application.
Answer: I haven't use it for that purpose but I imagine it could. I'd try it on some scrap pieces first so you can set the the dial to the setting that would seal that material.
Q:
Can this be used to seal one end of you vacuum bags?
Answer: We can't answer definitively since we don't use it in this manner, but it would seem that if you need to seal one end of a bag and suck out the air from the other end, then this should work.
Answer: Yes, it will seal any vacuum bag, but it will not vacuum.
Q:
Bought this and now it is not heating up. What do I do?
Answer: The sealer does not heat up for safety reasons. The only time it heats to seal is when the arm is closed on the plastic.
Answer: You have to push the handle down and hold it. The red light will come on then go out when it’s done. 3-4 seconds.
Answer: Its junk !! Send it back.
Answer: Plug it in.
Q:
What volume can this handle? I have 10,000 bags to seal. Can this handle large volume?
Answer: Yes and per the description it comes with 2 additional heating strips
Q:
Where can I get a replacement handle?
Answer: No se.
Q:
You show this being used to seal record albums, which is what I want to do. What bags are needed and what size of machine?
Answer: You will have to measure the size of the album cover first. You need to make the heat shrink plastic at least a 1/2" bigger on all sides, then it should shrink nicely on the album cover.
Answer: You will have to know the size of the record albums you are sealing before you can answer that question. Once you have that answer you can order exactly what you need.
Answer: Sorry, I don't use this to seal record albums
Answer: Sorry but I didn't. It's junk don't buy. Doesn't heat up.
Q:
I bought this sealer on amazon and when i went to use it it wouldn't seal. The light comes on but no seal. What do i do?
Answer: The light coming on shows that the device is on. You might need to turn the temperature up on it. Then make sure you hold it down until you hear the click that the seal is complete. If you’ve tried these things but they haven’t worked, you might want to contact the company.
Answer: Just contact the company via Amazon and do a replacement. They are great. I had to send mine back but got a replacement in 2 days. The new one works great. I did realize you have to push the lever down harder than I thought I would. Hope that helps.
Answer: I would check the fuse first and make sure the metal sealing rod is properly connected to complete the electrical loop
Answer: Mine works perfectly. Try to set it to a higher temperature.
Q:
What on amazon can i search for that will give me the fuse for the fs-400? thank you.
Q:
can this seal coffee bags?
Answer: If its a plastic bag it should
Answer: if it is all plastic and no paper involved; it should
Answer: yes
Q:
no cutter on this unit?
Answer: nope. no cutter on the unit. In most cases you shouldn't really need it since the heat seal trims it pretty good.
Answer: It's a SEALER, not a cutter.
Answer: There is no cutter on this unit.
Answer: No cutter...Just the impulse sealer
Answer: This unit does not have a cutter.
Answer: Wait I'm still confused... So there is no cutter??
Answer: Correct... there is no cutter.
Answer: no cutter
Q:
What is the width of the seal ?
Answer: It is a 2mm seal. Not sure if it can be used with 5mm flatwire. It is advised not to use flatwire greater in width than what the unit comes with.
Answer: It is one solid thin seal but it melts the plastic together very strongly. meaning it won't pull apart without cutting the package open. Recommend
Answer: It is small, thin, never measured it but it looks like a line
Q:
Can 5mil bags be sealed with this Heat sealer? which would be 10mil..
Answer: We seal 4 mil bags all of the time with it, and the temperature isn't turned up very high at all, so I would assume that you should be able to seal 5 mil bags with no problem at all.
Q:
does this work to seal heat shrink wrap bags?
Answer: No. In fact it doesn't even turn on and this is the second one I am having to return. Spare yourself the money and time and use tinfoil and an iron...
Q:
Can anyone suggest what temp I should set my heat gun to for wrapping xbox games and Blu-rays?
Answer: I started with 4 to seal some items and backed it down to 3. It depends on how thick or thin the plastic is. You may need to experiment as I did.
Answer: Usually '3' is good for sealing most plastic bags and should be what you would need.
Q:
What is the lowest and highest temperature that the sealer heats up to?
Answer: Dial shows 1-8. Does not show temps. Name plate on the side shows 110 Volts. 600 Watts. I tried to find the thickness of the shrink wrap bands that I have used with this but have been unable to get that thickness. I use the full #8 dial, 600 watts for I am doing and it works very well.
Answer: 30°F for lowest
Answer: Haven't actually checked the temp with a thermometer so, if you want a number I don't have one. However on the lowest setting it barely, if at all, melt/seal thin plastic. On the 4/5 setting it will melt a Zip Loc bag into two pieces.
Answer: DON'T buy. It's junk. Won't heat
Answer: I'm not sure of the actual temperature but the unit does melt the plastic very well.
Answer: I don't know exactly what temperature it ranges from, but the dial ranges from 1-8. We keep it on 4 and it works wonderfully!!
Q:
where can this item be purhcased in the jamaica queens area
Answer: Contact Uline. They have dealers in your area.
Q:
Hello, and voltage in 110v or 220v? thanks for your answer
Answer: 110v also their are some great youtube vids on the subject. I love mine, I use it for ebay and amazon it give the customer a very professional look.
Answer: 110v
Answer: 110v
Answer: 110volt. At least one I ordered was 110.
Answer: It's a regular plug, so 110.
Q:
what is the warranty.
Answer: Not sure about the warranty but this item works great once you figure out the tem. setting. Great product
Q:
Will this reseal the Amazon Prime shipping envelopes we get for returns to Amazon?
Answer: Yes if they're the same type of bags they ship items to us with. I've resealed their bags to send back items to them.
Q:
Where will i order extra release cloth strips and how long with the ones with the unit last if used 2 times as suggested.
Answer: It actually it comes with extra strip/heat. I've used mine at least 10,000 times and it doesn't show any signs of wear and still works great. However, you can find replacement elements and cloths at Amazon, and they've very inexpensive. You can actually buy 2 elements and two cloths for $2.99. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Impulse-Sealer-Repair-Element-Cloth/dp/B0076OTXDS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1454722836&sr=8-3&keywords=impulse+sealer+parts
Answer: You're welcome. By the way, when I use the sealer I found out, though multiple uses, that if you extend the sealing time just a bit, you won't need to cut off the excess, it will tear off if careful attention is used during the tearing-off process. I use the machine to seal CDs. After sealing thousands, I have the process pretty much mastered. If I can help you in any way with the process, feel free to contact me.
Answer: Amazon sells the strips and how long will they last before replacing them, I believe that depends on the user, I had not replaced my first strip yet so I could not really say. The sealer so far seems of good quality and as long as you take care of it, you should have it for years to come. I hope this helps somewhat.
Answer: It just depends on how long and many times this is used, this question really can't be answered either way. Sorry I know that'e not what you wanted to hear/know.
Q:
Do this work for pickle? I need to ship them without leaking the juice.
Answer: Well I haven't sealed a pickle, but it does seal plastic well. You can adjust the heat to get a seal best for your plastic. I'm sure you would have no trouble sealing a pickle, even if you have more than one seal on each end.
Answer: You will need a strong food safe bag. It's all about the bag. I love my sealer and use it all the time.
Answer: Do not buy !! Piece of junk ! Does not heat up.
Answer: Yes u double seal
Answer: I think so, I experienced, I'm glad.
Q:
will this seal mylar type bags for long term storage ?
Answer: yes it does, I bought it to find out and it worked. They should be more clear in the description of this product.
Q:
Reading the reviews and I'm curious: Does everyone get a broken unit first?
Answer: Right out of the box, no power whatsoever when I plugged it in. No heat. No light. Nothing. Arrived poorly packaged.
Answer: Loaded question. Is it the product or the people who are broken? Mine worked perfectly from day one. IT HAS A TIMER. That may be too complicated for some. Hence they think the product is "broken" and - for them - it is.
Q:
The sealer isn't producing heat when it's closed, yet the red light turns on. What's wrong with this?
Answer: Possibly there's a faulty internal switch or the transformer is burned out.
Q:
How well would this work with Foodsaver bags?
Answer: It doesnt.
Q:
will this sealer work on plastic tubes ? like cosmetic squeeze tubes, thanks
Answer: depends on how thick the plastic is
Q:
does this seal and cleanly melt/trim 75 or 100 gauge (0.8 or 1.0 mm) polyolefin shrink wrap?
Answer: This sealer should handle that task easily. You may have to give it a couple of tries and adjust the timing knob to the right sealing time. The instructions I received with my sealer said it could seal up to 10M. I have only used mine to seal meal bags but feel confident it could handle a wider range of sealing tasks.
Q:
How long is the warranty? Mine failed after 200 days.

Answer: I'm not sure of the actual temperature but the unit does melt the plastic very well.
Answer: I don't know exactly what temperature it ranges from, but the dial ranges from 1-8. We keep it on 4 and it works wonderfully!!
Q:
Is this a round wire or flat heat element?
Answer: It has a flat heat element in the bottom under the screen. You receive a replacement element with your purchase.
Answer: It's flat as you see in the picture of the item
Q:
If I have to wear a mask what type of mask do I have to wear
Answer: A full respirator mask so you don’t breath in the burning fibers.
Q:
has anyone tried sealing plastic tubes with this sealer?
Answer: Will need you to ask question better
Q:
Light doesn't come on. Has anyone tried replacing the fuse? Or should I just return this?
Answer: I took my fuse out and looked to see if it was still intact, it was, so when I returned it to where it belonged it worked fine and the light worked. Make sure you are pressing the top bar all the way down when you are cutting or sealing. The light will come on when contact is made and you will hear a click and the light goes out when the cut or seal is complete. Good Luck!!
Q:
Hi does this sealer seal kraft bags?!
Answer: This sealer has a dial on the end for temp control....on a craft bag start in the middle and try it out....if it doesn't seal, turn up the heat a little bit at a time....I use mine for shrink wrap and it does a great job.
Answer: Does not seal paper bags. Only plastic thick or thin.
Answer: We use the Metronic to seal heat shrink bags and it works great! Thx
Q:
Does this come with a round wire for easier sealing and removal of excess material?
Answer: Unfortunately it only comes with the flat wire and cover
Answer: No, it just has a flat replacement wire.
Q:
Can this unit seal polypropylene (PP) bags?
Answer: Yes you can seal polypropylene blue bags
Answer: dont buy!! its junk. dont work.
Answer: Yes it can
Answer: Yes
Q:
Can this be used to seal a bubble mailer at the top of the bag where you normally press and seal it?
Answer: I don't think that is what it was intended to do. We purchased it to use with packaging heat shrink.
Answer: Junk don't buy, doesn't work.
Q:
Does this work on shrink wrap? The description only states poly bags...
Answer: It does not work on shrink wrap.
Answer: It works on shrink wrap perfectly. I use it to cut the wrap before using the heat gun on the shrink wrap.
Answer: I purchased my unit specifically for sealing shrink wrap and it works just fine.
Q:
does the amazon extended warranty extend the manufactors warranty or replace it (ie with a 1 yr manufactor warranty does 2 yr extention give you 3 yr)
Answer: Don't know about that, but mine is still going stronger than a year with heavy use in a restaurant. Did not expect it to last this long!

Product reviews of Metronic 8 inch Impulse Bag Sealer Poly Bag Sealing Machine Heat Seal Closer with Repair Kit in Black
michael vranian : No juice
Just tried to use the sealer for the first time. No power. Contacted the seller who knew of the defect. I had to take the base off and rig a shim on the hinge so that it would make contact with the electric switch.. It was off by 1/4 inch! Shoddy workmanship from China. Seems to work now but we will see. Don't buy unless you are handy with your hands
palpitant : Highly satisfied.
it works very well, many thanks, and fast delivery
Ron : Satisfied
Always checking the bad reviews, haven’t used it to much but I’m glad I did I bought it has worked great so far. Would recommend
DDD : Disappointed
Stopped working after around 100 uses. Now only heats a few seconds on highest setting and not hot enough to seal. I'm very disappointed.
M. Fye : 50% airtight seal
Super easy to use. Unfortunately, mine will only seal half of my mylar bags airtight. For those bags, multiple attempts sometimes achieves an airtight seal. I have attempted to move the heating element to fix the problem, that only helped a little.
Zykram : Great
My poly bagged items look so much more professional now.
Brian H. : ABSOLUTE JUNK! BEWARE!
Review is for Metronic 16inch heat sealer, sold by Jiaro International: Ordered one of these to seal vacuum sealer type bags. We are a small non-profit, with very, very low volume, so we only seal a few bags at a time. First sealer came and didn't work at all, right out of the box. Checked everything I could, and no power, no heat and now indicator light. It was immediately returned. Got a replacement after several days. It actually worked... but ONLY FOR TEN BAGS. It's not like we process 100s of bags at a time. I tested it with 2 bags, when we got it, and it worked that day. Then I used to do a "second seal" on 2 bags, and it worked that day. Today I was making bags from a roll, where you cut the length you want and seal the bottom, prior to filling. Five seals went okay, then the sixth bag, literally NOTHING happened. No power, no "tick" sound when the heat had been applied, no indicator light. Keep in mind, these bags were being sealed MINUTES apart, so it wasn't like I was overheating it by sealing bags one right after another. This piece of junk is going BACK to Amazon and the search is on for a RELIABLE manufacturer and SELLER.
Amazon Customer : Junk worked less than 1 minute
Terrible! Stopped working after only 6 bags.. literally worked less than 1 minute.. so disappointed.. waste of time.. by the 7th bag the switch that activates the element to seal.. wouldn't activate? No light nothing.. spend 20 minutes trying to seal the bag before quitting
Amanda Slaydon : Good device, but seriously damaged upon arrival :/
Device works well, but upon arrival box was seriously damaged. My unit has a gash in the front as a result. Not sure if this was done in the factory, or shipping; but looks like it was run over by something quite heavy. Other than this, decently pleased with the device overall.
apsdx6 : good Impulse Sealer
Pros creates good seal in a few secs safe to touch and not hot except when active solid build quality adjustable heat is grate for bags many different thickness
con costs slightly more then other Impulse Sealer's the rubber on feet is to solf and leaves marks on tables(I replaced feet with hard plastic)or you can just put paper under the feet for lab work

CRichards : Such an AWESOME tool to have around!
I originally bought this impulse sealer to seal cookies in their individual bags after making them, but it has truly become one of my favorite tools to have around the house. I use it for everything now! Resealing chip bags, bags of extra parts from furniture assemblies, and even resealing the top of an Amazon bubble mailer when returning things. I will never not own an impulse sealer now!
Plus, with this sealer, it doesn’t get hot unless pressed down, so you can leave it plugged in 24/7 and there’s no wait time!
Little brown : Works great.
My only regret is that I bought it a bit too big for my needs because it is heavy. I love that you can control the temperature for various materials. As for ordering the large size, it may come in handy if I have something larger to package.
DDD : Disappointed
Stopped working after around 100 uses. Now only heats a few seconds on highest setting and not hot enough to seal. I'm very disappointed.
G. Isham : 2 UNITS FAILED WITH LITTLE USE
Terrible product. First one failed in a couple of days. Second one failed right after the 30-day return window and we had only used it maybe on 50 bags. This is a real piece of junk. Buy a better unit like the American International unit which we have had very good service from. Stay away from this product.
Daniel Bingham : Doesn't work
Unboxed it plugged it in, does not work.
Laurence Howard : Not as shown.
Missing spare part.

Terrible! Don’t waste your money on this, it does not work. Even on the highest setting it still couldn’t do it’s job

CS : Great product. Simple, easy to repair.
This was a great purchase, and I definitely got what I paid for. You may have to play with the temp knob a bit to get it working with the material that you seal, but in general I found that setting it in the middle works for 90% of materials that aren't too thick. Make sure you don't use the sealer on the "red" temperature zone excessively because it will melt the teflon and burn out the element quickly.
As a side note; I had a minor issue where my sealer would spark sometimes when I used it and eventually it shorted and burned out the element. If this happens to you it's because the wire element that runs down the length of the sealer (under the teflon tape) is making contact with the metal body of the sealer. The easy fix for this is to unscrew the two plates (held down by 3 screws each) on both sides of the teflon tape and put another piece of teflon tape underneath the wire element, making sure you cover the place where it may have touched metal (you can tell because it will look black and charred). You can also easily replace your element if it burns out the same way, the two parts that hold the wire element are springy so it may take some effort to get it properly attached on both ends.
Amazon Customer : DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
This item worked literally only the first time I plugged it in, then just stopped working. No ability to return it after 30 days which is hilarious as I don't seal bags every day, good thing it worked the first time but not the second time after 30 days was up.
Do NOT buy this product it's a waste of your time and money.
M. Fye : 50% airtight seal

Zykram : Great

Unicorn Glitter : Do Not Buy! ????????
This is a review for a replacement impact sealer. The first one didn’t work at all and this one worked the FIRST TIME ONLY. Don’t waste your money. Order from Uline and pay the price!
Amazon Customer : DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

M. Baca : Not for High Volume Sealing
This sealer is fine if you have a few bags to seal now and then. We have gone through so many strips that have burnt. It sparks on both ends too and have to constantly clear the plastic that sticks to the tape. Also stops working when it get too hot, then have to wait. we bought this one because of price, but don't buy if you have high volume sealing. We are going back to our other brand that has lasted for years.
Scotty : What a great deal
I love this item it does just as he states it seals.
Daniel Bingham : Doesn't work
Unboxed it plugged it in, does not work.
john m. : Great
I bought two, one from ugliness broke this one is bigger and works great!!!
LovelyLashaGa : Great sealer
Works great. Very easy to use. I use this to seal treat bags that contain pretzels, cookies, etc and everything stays fresh for a while
Todd : Worked for a total of 50 bags and now it has no power.
This product worked great for my mushroom growing until it didn't. I sealed about 40 bags with no problems, then I noticed on the last 10 bags I had to apply a LOT more pressure to get it to seal. On the 50th bag no matter how hard I pushed down, no lights, no seal, nothing. So I figured the fuse was blown. nope, fuse is fine. I figured the wire needed replacing so I replaced it. Still no seal. I would return the unit if I could but there i'm now outside the return period with Amazon so here I am stuck with a sealer that sealed 50 bags before it died. Definitely not satisfied.
José Alfredo m flores : Sin palabras
La usamos para sellar bolsas de polipropileno de los productos que vendemos y es excelente Gracias
Amir Harouni : Perfect!
Excellent deal.
E.I.G. : Excellent little sealer.
Excellent sealer for Mylar bag 14x20 2 gallon. For "Food Vac Bags" also works.
Scotty : What a great deal

Still working fine. I have used it to seal tea bags and it does a good job.

Audrey & Phil Butler : Works perfectly
Sealer worked great. Sealed over 100 packages the first night. No excess burning on coil cover. Perfect seal every time.
KOB : Only suitable for very thin plastic
I bought this because multiple reviews and the manufacturer's description said this would seal Mylar. I tried several times and on several settings and not only would it not seal Mylar, but it wouldn't even seal a scrap FoodSaver bag's polyethylene interior. The only bag I could find that would reliability seal with this is a Ziplock sandwich bag, and even that didn't look particularly well sealed.
Michael : Sent inoperable open box item well worn
Product was delivered in a previous opened box. The item had been extensively used to the point of inoperability. I am hoping that this was a one off shipping mixup that can happen to the best of us, therefore, giving them another chance at product excellence.
Nae : 2nd times a charm
Okay, I was excited to get the sealer that would seal Mylar bags up to 10 mil, Mine are 7 mil so I was excited... BUT it wouldn't even seal my 3mil food saver bags... HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT... Needless to say I am RETURNING!!!!! UPDATE: They did replace my sealer and this one works great for everything I need it to do... I appreciate the fast response and delivery of the second one... Thank You Very Satisfied
Jade M. Loveless : Not heating properly
I bought this sealer back in January & used it a good hand full but it's now August. I use it for my business when packing up soaps & it was time to change the heating strip. However, now the entire machine does not heat up after changing the elements provided. & it's a brand new machine ! I thought I would at least have a year!

Works well, we haven't had any issues with it. Also comes with some replacement parts in case something does break.
Amazon Customer : Great price
This is a great price and it includes extra strips which is absolutely necessary if using for business. I use mine every day.
