Is this a commercial crab trap?

Answer: Look at the price and the description. NOT A COMMERCIAL TRAP.

What is the size of the side openings that the crabs must come through?

Answer: So they are flexible and stretchy. Maybe baseball sized? About.... trap works well, hard to get crabs out. My son likes it.

Answer: There's four of them about 4 inches the whole thing's only about twenty one inches around

Nam Tran : Might work for shrimp but didn't have much luck with crabs

We just started crabbing and i thought this trap would be great to use. We tied some raw chicken inside and while we were able to catch hundreds of crab w/ the chicken and string technique, we didn't get a single crab in the trap.
The openings are relatively small so i was worried any crab that did make it inside wouldn't be keepers (5 inch) anyways. Might work for shrimp or other smaller sea creatures.
