- Always start your grill on SMOKE with the door or lid open
- If the grill runs out of the pellets, please turn the grill off .
- Please consult your owner's manual for the" Initial Firing Instructions"
- When finished cooking on your barbecue set the temperature/dial knob to the Shutdown Cycle position, this will leave the draft Induction fan running for 10 minutes to burn any excess pellets in the fire pot. after the fan runs for 10 minutes the controller will power off and the fan will stop running.

how do you sear with this grill if it just gets 425 degrees?
Answer: When I set to max temp I let it stabilize for about 10 minutes or so. Once I place the meat back on , between the constant airflow and inside grill temp, the meat is definitely seared albeit not in the way you would on stove top. The wearing takes about 5-10 minutes depending where you place the meat and how you have adjusted your flue. I have done this several times and works perfectly. Remember pellet grills are not open flame and things take a bit longer. Hope this helps.

Answer: Some of it is made in U.S.A. and some in China, I will say that it is a great grill and smoker I love it.

Answer: The hopper lid overlaps the pellet chamber. It is powder coated, so it is pretty resistant by nature. I keep mine covered, with the included cover, when not in use. Following the same measures, I would say yes, it is reasonable weather proof.

Answer: I do not know. I generally use the top of my pellet hopper just to the left side of the unit.

Answer: About 5-10 degrees. More important that that is to get them to include a recipe book as Traeger does?

Answer: This is a wood pellet grill similar to traeger technology. It uses an electric burner that burns wood pellets for smoke flavor and heat. I would not attempt to convert to gas as that would nullify any benefit.

Answer: I am not sure but I don't think so. I don't see how one could be added without damaging the grill. But it's so big, there is more than enough room for storage
Answer: If you mean an external shelf, I use the hopper as my shelf for food prep and while cooking. There is an internal upper rack as well if that's what you are asking.

Just bought this, my first wood pellet grill, for the price point I'm really happy with it. I'm not sure if the following observations are common to pellet grills or not, but they cover my experience with it.
Assembly was pretty easy, didn't take too long and could be doe by one person fairly easily.
Initial break in burn was odd - they have you shut this all the way down as it takes like 10 minutes before pellets start falling in the burner. Note that the auger truns a wee bit then stops for a minute, then turns a wee bit more, so don't expect that to keep spinning at startup. It will also time out and throw an error code as it's on for like 10 min and there's not enough wood there yet to start the fires - that's whay ya shut it all the way down then on again after the pellets hit the burner...)
Once it starts, it will kick out a TON of nasty burning oil smoke. It clears up after about 30 min but I let it go an hour.
I cooked my first brisket on this for the first cook, one thing I noticed is that the temp initially bounces around some. I set it to 225ºF and it would bounce around for a bit (270-190-250-200-240-210-230-215...) but it would eventually settle in around 225 (with ~5º for the most part) One thing that's kinda annoying: would love the temp dial to be analog instead of set at 25º increments (200-225-250-275...) so if you wanted to set it to say 265º you can't do it.
What I liked about this: I started the brisket at 3AM and went to bed and waaay over slept and 7hrs later the grill was chugging along right on the money (I also used a VAUNO Wireless Meat Thermometer w/3 probes, that was a FANTASTIC combo)
Result: the brisket was Great! There was however a hint of a flavor there that might be related to the grill being new, kinda a hint of a metallic taste. But very very subtle, and I'm not sure if that was from the grill or the Kingsford Hickory pellets I used. All-in-all, I like this. It's not the best by any means, but for the price point a good buy

I have had mine a month now and have used it every weekend since having it. Only really issue I have is that setting the temp at 225 and it runs at about 200 so bump it up to 250 and it runs at 250. It’s like there is no in between. But I adjust the best I can.
