Are these original or knok offs? I had bought similar and when i caught my first bass the hooks fell off giving it a different movement not happy!!

Answer: They shouldn't be using "Whopper Plopper" in the description, certainly. So it seems that is an infringement although the rotating tail blade and essentially the lure construction seems fair game. Regardless, the product is not satisfactory for anyone who would like a reliable and functional lure.

I took a chance because I fish in an area where I loose a lot of lures. I want to catch fish, not brag about how much I spent on my gear. I also wanted to try top water to help reduce my lure loss. My first cast with the silver Nuguri into a swift moving river and a smallmouth nailed it. Two casts later, another. Overall, my first trip using the Nuguri's caught 4 smallies (3 on silver, 1 on orange) and missed 2 more. One jumped and shook the lure. I found the hooks to be extremely sharp, so that was not the reason - smallies jump and shake a lot of lures. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the results and would buy again.
P.S. I did loose one in the trees, but that's not the lures fault.

DENIS KELLAM : Bass don't care how much to pay for your lures.

The quality is not as good as the original Whopper Ploppers, had to glue the tail back on after hitting a rock. Fished with both lures side by side for two days, caught fish with both, but the largest bass of the day was caught on the Nuguri Lure.

I bought a set of these to try them out and so like that i can just have them on my tackle box for future occasion. After seeing a few videos on youtube on these (and/or similiar ones) i got a bit worried since in most videos many people kept saying theirs came apart after a few casts and what not but none of mines did any of that, each performed as designed to and their plopping sound was loud i can hear it just fine even where i was fishing that has a road with moderate traffic right next to it. Each lure i tested i cast it over 10 times and they each looked good as new and floated/swam as they should. Sometimes with amazon lures is all a 50/50 shot between getting a good batch or bad one. So far, i feel like for the price and how many i got it was worth the money before getting the big name ones and risk losing them.
