Answer: 3/4 ounce is the perfect all around weight for water 15 to 60 feet deep. I switch the hooks to a size 4 or size 6.

What size hook is on the 3/8 oz spoon?

Answer: I’d have to say the hook is probably a size 4 on the 3/8 oz spoon. You can easily switch it out. I don’t like the stock hooks, they’re too heavy gauge.

Answer: This is an amazing lure. I caught a lot of fish with this lure. Highly recommend for angler.

Answer: I just dunk it up and down. It catches whitefish when they run in the fall.

This review is on product, not performance. Spoon is nicely made with an end loop that makes clipping on a leader and swivel really easy. Swims nice and shimmers in the water. If I catch a big fish on it soon I'll change my rating to a 5 star.

The spoon I was sent as a 3" 3/4 ounce only had a 2 1/4 inch spoon. Way smaller than described. I have yet to use them because I needed 3 inch spoons. Apparently the weight didn't include the hook, but the length did. Product dimensions say 4.1 inches .8 ounce. Actual measuremen:t spoon at. 24 grams,actual spoon length 2 1/4 inches.

Had a Mr. Champ slab spoon break off while surf fishing off the coast of Louisiana, so tied on on of these 1/2 oz Cotton Cordell spoons I got on sale at Academy. Tied their loop directly onto my leader, no split ring. Caught as many speckled trout as my husband, and the biggest of the day on this spoon. Great erratic action, it moves so much as you retrieve it that it feels like you have a little fish on your line. I did feel it was harder to keep fish on the line with this vs. Mr. Champ, though. I don't think the hook itself is as good, eventually will switch to an aluminum treble. Great lure for the price.
