Fin Reaper : Good Poppers

Sturdy poppers hold up to hard fishing. Hooks are stainless steel, sharp and securely bonded to the popper body. Paint is durable though I knocked some off hitting the popper against a dock.

A nice little popper set for fishing sunfish and other small fish like tilapia.good lacquer finish and sharp hooks. They have held up well.

D. Miller : Not Castable Without a Bomb Float

These seem decently made. Sharp hook, nice feathers and decently painted. They are INSANELY light weight. They're small and must be balsa wood or something. The small j-hook is probably the heaviest part of the fly. You definitely can not cast these on a spinning reel. You'd need cast with a 20MPH wind at your back to get it to go anywhere....and it still wouldn't be far enough to work a retrieve the way you need to. I'm guessing if you're a fly fisherman, you probably wouldn't go with these. So if you're just a basic fisherman like me, going for large mouth, peacocks, snakeheads and all the other random stuff in the water in South Florida.

I had to look it up because I've never used a bomb float (bombarda float) but one of these is 100% required to use these flies with a spinning reel. I may give it a try because top waters work well in the warm water canals down here. But it's been a little cool lately, so I'll have to give them a shot when it warms up again.

Fast shipping and a very good price. I’m only 12 and needed some poppers for cheap and it was worth it. A little bigger than I expected but still small. The hooks are sharp and strong. I love the variety of colors and mini case. I will update when I fish with them.

Update: on the forth cast caught a small bass.work as expected have a decent pop but nothing crazy. I love the color variety for the flies.

These flies are on the heavy side (big poppers) but float well, These are topwater or suspending within couple of inches (with fluoro lead); good action, they "plop" and hooks are very sharp - so... yes! Buy 'em. Was going to give them 5 stars but one of 'em-paint has started to chip, I mean warmouth are aggressive but not to chip a lure/fly. Eitherway, what you get vs. What you pay is A WIN for you, by far.
