I do not like tying flies with hair anymore. Too much time and effort. Since I am lazy, these are just fine. This past summer I needed a small fly that floated and the fish could see in the fading light. I put one of these one and continued catching fish. Not elk hair, some are even the wrong color. I am OK with that since sometimes a little color helps. If you have to have a perfect fly just like you want, tie your own. I tie almost all my own, unless I am lazy. These catch fish and are mostly cheap. Second order and will order more if I need them.

No issues with the flies themselves but more of an issue with the way they were packaged and delivered. Seemed as if a few of the flies were smashed down during the shipping process. I was able to fluff them up ok but not the same as a freshly tied elk hair. Still decent product and would by again.

On my first ever trout fishing trip I must say these flies are very good. Of course being able to pick "good water" helps but if the fish are there they will take the bait.

You would expect a Fly Fishing Retailer like "O" to sell a top of the line product but those are actually made in China and don't match the quality of these (and if these are also made in China it MUST be a different province)

Very good quality flies. They did well for me my first trip- to a river so commonly fished that only the best impersonations catch trout.

Overall this is a very good purchase. For the money you’re getting some pretty decent flys. The one thing I’ve noticed is that they seem relatively heavy when casting and they absorb a good bit water if you let it sink. It’s not much of an issue though, a few false casts and you’re good to go. I’ve caught fish on these and will buy again when the time comes!

The Adams flies look great but I ordered Elk Hare Caddis. Need to return and get replacements. I'm leaving for a fly fishing trip in one day and will need to travel to a local fly shop for required flies.

I ordered the Caddis flies but ended up getting the Adams. Not that big a deal for me cause i was debating on getting one or the other but i took off a stars for it. Other than that, its a great and cheap fly. The fish went crazy for it and so far the feathers on the fly i tied on haven't come off. Hopefully on my next order I actually get my caddis.
