The Baby Bull Shad is a collaboration with the legendary Mike Bucca, creator of the original Bull Shad Swimbaits. The Bull Shad is a heavy duty, trophy hunting swimbait responsible for catches on some of the biggest bass in the world. It is also, however, a specialty bait requiring certain gear and performing best specifically in certain regions because of its size relative to most other fishing lures. where is it made?

Answer: Hi there! The Mike Bucca Baby Bull Shad was designed in collaboration with Mike Bucca and Catch Co and they spent almost 2 years working together here in the U.S. to perfect the design and quality of Mike Bucca's swimbaits. These baits are currently being manufactured in China in one of Catch Co's partner facilities.

How will this hold up in saltwater? Will it rust out quick?

Answer: Not sure about saltwater. I have only used it in freshwater. I think it will hold up with no problems.

Are the 3 packs ready yet?

The pricetag is worth it. The slow sink rate lets you work it just beneath the surface on a slow smooth retrieve. I have had the best luck fishing it like a jerkbait - slow rolling it before giving a few good rod twitches and speeding it up. It gets hammered on those pauses after the jerks or when it speeds up

Brilliant bait. Its action is perfect and the paint job is better than I expected, the colour gizzard shad that I ordered had a pink tint to it when turned into the light and it just gives it that extra realistic effect

Package came earlier then expected. The lure was well boxed. Bait was well made and colored. Try it out and it swim great around the submerge grass where blue gill was popping. Had a few bass followed but no bite since the real stuff was around.

Order 2 swimbaits 1 blue gill pattern and the other in rainbow trout but the sent me a one that says treadfin shad and covered with a sticker that says rainbow trout. Wished they would of doubled checked their items.

I live in New England and have had way more success with this bait than I was expecting. We've had a cold snap up here while I was using it, yet the bites didn't slow down. My one complaint is that its a little lighter than I would like to be throwing it with my medium heavy and heavy rods, however a medium rod casts it perfectly.
