where is it made?

Answer: Hi there! The Mike Bucca Baby Bull Shad was designed in collaboration with Mike Bucca and Catch Co and they spent almost 2 years working together here in the U.S. to perfect the design and quality of Mike Bucca's swimbaits. These baits are currently being manufactured in China in one of Catch Co's partner facilities.

How will this hold up in saltwater? Will it rust out quick?

Answer: Not sure about saltwater. I have only used it in freshwater. I think it will hold up with no problems.

Are the 3 packs ready yet?

Been very impressed with this so far. You can straight retrieve, I prefer a stop and go. Bass and large crappie crush this thing even in crystal clear water. Always have this rigged on one of my rods now when going out.

I live in New England and have had way more success with this bait than I was expecting. We've had a cold snap up here while I was using it, yet the bites didn't slow down. My one complaint is that its a little lighter than I would like to be throwing it with my medium heavy and heavy rods, however a medium rod casts it perfectly.

I was refunded the full amount of the swim bait, and to my surprise when I got home from work today there was a package from CatchCo on my doorstep. Without any pressure on my end, they sent me a new one. I hadn’t even reached out to them. Needless to say I am extremely satisfied and beyond happy with my encounter with them! I will without a doubt be buying more of their lures. Their trashmaster jigs are the best on the market!!!

Was super excited when this arrived today, and quickly noticed the paint on the top of the lure is chipped. I know it’s not a huge blemish, but I feel when you’re spending close to $20 on a single lure, it should arrive in pristine condition. Pretty disappointed.

These guys have a well-deserved reputation. Mike Bucca’s original Bull Shad got a lot of attention, and this miniaturized version has also had a good bit of buzz around it. If you’re a rare fisher who hasn’t heard the talk about this thing, I’ll give you a brief overview.

Color is great. The paint schemes perfectly straddle that line between realistic and flashy. If you’re logical about which color you choose (if you match the hatch, as they say), you’ll be able to imitate your local baitfish, but with a small added flair to draw fish specifically to your bait.

Action is spectacular. It looks like you’d imagine a wounded shad would look. Exactly like it. Because it’s in four segments (instead of your run-of-the-mill two or three), the action is incredibly fluid. There are multiple ways to fish this thing, all of which impart some sort of attractive action.

The size is perfect for anyone from the pro to the hobbyist. It’s small enough to attract fish of small to average size, but big enough that larger fish will also take notice.

All in all, really a great bait. It may seem a little pricy, but it’s absolutely worth the money.
