The new DFP Surface Iron Model II is our second CNC machined jig designed by Duran's Fishing Products. It is made out of aircraft grade 6061 Aluminum and precision CNC machined in Santa Ana, California. A machined jig offers many advantages over a cast or molded jig due to the fact that a CNC machine can match each jig made within ten thousandths of an inch variance just about the thickness of a human hair! This is very important because when you deal with the flow dynamics of the jig any imperfections or changes can lead to a bad jig which is common with cast or molded jigs. The Model II Surface Iron is 6.5" long, 3.8 oz, rigged with stainless steel rings, and a Mustad 5X Strong 3/0 treble hook it is ready for those big bass, barracuda, bonita, tuna, and yellowtail.

Is this a joke when you have bass in the target species list it is to be a top water lure in saltwater

Answer: Sorry the only category available to me is “top water lures”. I can’t find a saltwater section.

Answer: This lure is for topwater saltwater species like yellowtail tuna and calico bass

Wow! This iron gets bit! I was the ONLY person on my last trip to land a yellowtail on a jig and this Duran's DFP Model II was awesome! It's cnc machined and anodized and the quality is top notch. The hook and rings are brazed on and shipping was fast. This is by far one of my favorite irons and will be used a lot! It swims well and feels good on the retrieve and will last a lifetime! Even came in a nice jig holder to keep the hooks from snagging everything! I also got a mint surface iron and a brass yo yo! All amazing quality! Check out Duran's for other great products.
