These are amazing! I liked these for separating bulk meat, but found that I also really like them for food prepping! I was able to premake, seal, and freese multiple breakfasts, dinners, and snacks. I have not noticed and freezer burn at all on sealed meals. To defrost I cut a slit in the top corner of the bag and use the defrost setting on the microwave. This is perfect for busy days where you want a home cooked meal, but don't have time to make it.

This eliminates the waste, that happens when you use a pre-cut vacuum sealer bag. You don't need a 10" x 16" bag when your only saving 1 pork chop.

The bags have the raised bumps on one side and easily seal. We have not had any puncture or leaking issues. Full disclosure: We have not used the plastic in any sous vide applications, yet.

I’ve tested these “Dolphin” plastic rolls to create bags for our Food Saver vacuum sealer...and they work as designed. The texture and thickness (mil) of the material is comparable to other name brands. The product I received was indeed 10” wide and could easily be cut to size with our device’s built in cutting tool. The pre-welded seams of the roll are sturdy and were able to hold a vacuum without failing.
During the actual vacuuming and sealing process (when the material is under stress), the bags performed well. I created various sizes of bags from the roll to test. I also compared both the normal/gentle and dry/moist settings on the Food Saver with these bags. No issues whatsoever — no vacuum leaks and the heat sealer was able to seal these bags with ease.

First I tried these out with a roll of toilet paper. Someone told me they used a sealer machine to squish down a roll of TP to put in a "Go Bag" for emergency preparedness. I tried it, and yup, smushed them flat, so it fits easily into my backpack, So know I'm sure it will work on foods. I like to buy Summer fruits and freeze to use later for ice cream or smoothies, so now I can use these bags with the sealer to keep the freezer burn out.

We've been "vacuum sealers" since our first purchase of a FoodSaver machine over 25 years ago! We've upgraded a few times, newer models, and find that they are all almost perfect. Every once in a while the seal doesn't hold, whether it's the FS brand or others. That's just the way it is. These White Dolphin 10" wide rolls are working just fine in our current machine, so we are very pleased with this product. Our preference is the rolls instead of the pre-cut bags. This package of two rolls equals 32' of the material (one side smooth, other side rough). Easy to cut whatever size/lengths of bags you wish to seal. We usually remove meats from the original packaging, freeze them on a cookie sheet, pop them off, then seal...so much neater and cleaner. (Also write what it is and the date, with a marker pen.) The 10" size is great for large pieces of food, like a roast to be cooked later (lasts a very long time sealed), or perhaps casserole ingredients to be reheated sou vide style. So easy!

While the product headline calls these "bags," they are in fact, rolls. We have a veggie garden and orchard, and do a lot of vacuum freezing for preservation. In fact, we've found we can even keep properly prepared food for a year or more in the freezers in vacuum bags. We have a large "Game Saver"unit. You put a roll like these inside, pull out the length you want and then heat-seal the end and use the internal razor knife to cut it off. You create a custom bag each time. You put whatever you're preserving inside, then use the vacuum function to suck out all the air and seal the top.
By the way, if you're new to this, there's a lot to learn about how to save food safely. For example, most veggies and fruit should be blanched in boiling water and drained before you can freezer-preserve for any length of time. There are lots of books and instructional videos available.

Wouldn’t work with my vacuum sealer. Nothing against the bags they are thick and seem strong just not right for me. Like that you can cut them to your own length.

I am a very advanced Home and Personal Chef. I do a LOT of Sous Vide cooking, as well as storing vacuum-sealed items for freezing. I use a professional Weston Vacuum Sealer that is a workhorse.
I use a lot of premade bags as well as rolls for various sized items to seal. I chose these rolls primarily with the plan for Sous Vide work, and wanted to test them against other brands that I regularly use. The results were disappointing for a few reasons...
* The plastic used in these rolls is MUCH thinner that most other brands I use. This can be concerning when these bags are subject to heat in Sous Vide that may approach the boiling point. (220℉). If the seal breaks during Sous Vide, the product being cooked could be flooded with water and ruined.
* The rolls are 16ft long... OK, but not as long as other brand's rolls.
* Using these for long-term frozen storage is also an issue due to the thinness of the plastic.
* There is no indication in the advertising or labels that these rolls are BPA-free and/or certified food-safe...an unknown quantity that is concerning for health!
I am reluctant to rate these above a LOW THREE STARS, and only went that high because there ARE some non-food uses that I can use these for. But as a Chef, I will not trust my food or my guest's health with these bags, made in China, and with no certifications whatsoever. Not recommended. There are much better rolls available on Amazon with comparable pricing.

I love that I can cut them to whatever size I need. They work well with my vacuum sealer.
Riven : Nice supply works as expected
I primarily use my vacuum sealer for sous vide. These worked great with my FoodSaver vacuum sealer but are fairly general and don’t have any markings on them to help you to decide where to cut. I didn’t have any problem with them sealing and staying tightly sealed. They are a bit shorter than the once that came with my vacuum sealer which I like because I usually use small cuts of meat so I don’t need all the extra space. My vacuum sealer also accommodates various sizes. So this roll fit perfectly.
Brittney E. : Check Length — Poor Value
Make sure to compare total footage before buying these - my mistake for not looking, but these are not a good value as they are tiny rolls. The listing says 16 ft length but I believe that may be total for both rolls combined and not per roll - as you can see in the picture, I have them beside another roll from another brand (that has been used several times) and is a 50 fri roll that cost the same price per roll (around $9). Even if these are each 16 ft in length, 32 feet for this price is a poor value compared to many other brands. Unfortunately I will probably be returning so I can’t speak to how well the work or the thickness.

I really like the width of these. The rolls that come with the Food Saver machine (or the refills) are oftentimes either too wide or too narrow. These fit squarely in the middle.
