Dayton : Not worth it.

It's an okay reel but doesn't stand up to the name and is out classed by the Eagle Claw reel.
The backlash from a heavy lure vs light lure is a nightmare to fix when an unexperienced user uses it.
I have pflueger reels on all of my rods but this has been replaced.

Very disapppointed that I ignored the review comments about these in-line reels. Within the first 5 minutes of use the fishing line slipped off the spool and wrapped around the spool axle. Didn't notice this was happening until I noticed problems retrieving the line. By then the line was wrapped around the spool axle so much there was no way to salvage it. The same problem happened with both new reels. I lost $20 of new line. Luckily I had thrown one of my old reels into my bag otherwise I was hooped...6 km out on the ice and 2 hours away from home.
