Answer: I use these for salmon fishing in lake Ontario. These in size 50 are good for copper set ups, the size 40 we use on dipsy, and size 30 on downrigger. Saltist are the best reels hands down

I use these exclusively for Salmon fishing Lake Ontario.
Great units for Wire Dipsies or Copper due to the high rate of retrieval. Very well built & Durable.
My only knock is the ergonomics of the Line Counter Placement. It takes some getting use to and I see new people in the boat struggle with hand positioning on the rod while fighting fish because the counter sticks into your wrist if you don’t reposition your grip.
