I started using these to store food in the freezer during 2020. Saves me cooking time and food. Sometimes you can get two bags out of one with a heat sealer. Label bags with a Sharpie.

When the end is squeezed shut in the machine, the channels leave a small air gap. These bags have little "dots". When sealing anything moist, the end of the bag is basically closed, so no airflow. Another user complained that the bags were slow to evacuate. My experience is that they don't evacuate at all. Complete waste of money.

I thought these would be just like my others. These are awful. The grid to allow the air to be removed is so finely "embossed" that if the bag closes much at all the vacuum sealer will not remove air. I have tried everything and I cannot get a good vacuumed seal. If I hadn't opened and used some I would have rejected the whole lot. Be warned! These are terrible!

Having bought refills from the brand that made my vacuum sealer and saw the price increase exponentially during COVID 19 pandemic, thought I’d try this off brand. Very happy that I did. They are slightly longer in length which makes sealing easier. All breads and meats have defrosted as fresh as the day they were sealed. I actually prefer them to the originals. I was skeptical about this purchase simply because of price, they do work but better on some foods than others. I sealed tuna steaks that didn't seem to be that wet but my sealer pulled alot of water from them which got caught at the top of the bag and on several attempts stopped the bag from sealing properly, I did manage to get them all sealed after several tries. The bags do have ridges on one side but they don't seem as large as the ones on a food saver bag hence the liquid reaches the top of the bag easier (that is only my opinion). I also sealed ground beef which worked flawlessly. I bought both quart (8"x12") and pint bags (6"x10"), the quart bags surprised me because they are larger than I expected. I was easily able to seal 1 pound portions of ground beef in a pint bag. Not a big deal but others have also mentioned the lack of an area to label the food, I did mark the smooth side of the bag with permanent marker so far it seems to work. The material seems to be quite thick, they work in my food saver brand sealer, they are really convenient because one side is already sealed, and I would buy this product again.
