Even though I have a smoker it doesn't hold the smoke very well. With the tube it helps keep the smoke for as long as there is wood in them. I have two sometimes in my smoker and they work well.

This was a very affordable way to get real wood smoke flavor on gas grill!!! I'm not willing to buy a pellet smoker but want some flavor and running 2 of these gives the extra flavor I desire with the easy cleanup of a gas grill.
