Questions about Joerid Vacuum Sealer Machine-Automatic Food Sealer, Kitchen Food Saver Machine with Vacuum Bags,Dry & Moist Food Modes | Compact Design | Easy to Clean |white
Q:
Will this "vacuum" seal Harvest Right mylar bags?
Answer: Hello,Can not with the mylar bags, compatible with the vacuum sealer bag and in the package of our vacuum sealer we prepared one roll bags for our customer
Answer: Hello,Can not with the mylar bags, compatible with the vacuum sealer bag and in the package of our vacuum sealer we prepared one roll bags for our customer
Answer: Any bag that is textured on one side that will allow the air to pass through it will work. You cannot use completely smooth bags unless you use like a disposable straw or something to keep it open enough that it won't pinch it shut and hold the air in.
Answer: No bags I have used work well.
Q:
Does this vacuum sealer have a hose to remove the air from canning jars and containers like the FoodSaver does?
Answer: yes
Answer: Yes
Q:
I would like to know if this is ok for mylar bags? thanks :)
Answer: Completely smooth bags will not work because they will feel themselves when they're pinched in the vacuum chamber. The only way you would be able to use something like that is to also use like a plastic drinking straws shove down in there to keep it open enough that it can suck the air out of it and then double ceiling it to try to melt the strong enough that it won't let the air leak out
Answer: I have used a couple of different kinds of bags on my Joerid with no issues
Q:
How wide is the opening?
Answer: I have 11 inch bags and its fits them with a little room on each side.
Q:
Will it work with my food saver brand bags?
Answer: Yes......
Answer: Yes
Q:
Does it come with a warranty?
Answer: Hello, our vacuum sealer with 12months warranty for the replacement or money refund
Answer: I have sent two emails for non working sealer still under warranty to Morris customer support, no reply. I will send a third email and respond back
Q:
Where do you get more bags?
Answer: You can use Food Saver bags also. You just have to make sure one side has texture to it just like the bag that came with the Joerid.
Answer: You can buy them from Amazon from the same company that’s sells the sealer, or you can buy other sizes and comparable bags from other listings.
Answer: Nutri-lock vacumn sealer bags two roll combo for smaller bags. Just go to Amazon and put in vacumn sealer bags.
Answer: Amazon sells them. I bought FeliceSuper vacuum sealer bags.
Answer: You can use any vacuum bags. I order mine on line, costco or Target
Answer: Look up “vacuum sealer bags” on Amazon and there are a lot of options.
Q:
Has anyone used this sealer to seal mason jars? If so, can you give me the low down on how well it did and the ease of it?
Answer: I have used it to seal large mouth mason jars. You have to purchase theround sealer part seperately. It works very well and is easy to do.
Q:
Does the hose fit the foodsaver brand containers?
Answer: Yes. I used it on one their containers.
Q:
Where do i put the black band that comes with it? Doesnt say in the manual.
Answer: I didn’t use a black band anywhere on mine to operate it. I don’t remember getting a black band. I’ve vacuum sealed about 120 times with the machine, and it works great, and never used a black band! It could have been used just for shipping safety purposes, not to operate appliance after shipping.
Answer: Black band? Maybe a broken part?
Answer: It’s a replacement for the original when needed.
Answer: It's a replacement for seal on upper half of machine.
Answer: Its a spare seal
Q:
when using which side of bag is down the smooth side or the textured side?
Answer: I put the textured side down and it worked fine
Answer: Textured side down and don't put it too far in! You should be good to go hope this helps
Answer: I haven’t found that it makes a difference- either has been fine for me
Answer: I don't think it matters
Q:
Is there a website for support and pdf manuals?
Answer: I don't know. Have you tried google?
Q:
Does product come with adaptor for use in Singapore?
Answer: No, there isn't an adaptor.
Answer: I did not get one.
Q:
Does anyone have trouble with the moist function? It’s not sucking air. Defective product?
Answer: I am not having trouble. The moist function is designed to stop attempting to suck the air, otherwise all the moisture will continue sucking out of the bag. It stops when the air is out, leaving the moisture or blood or whatever.. otherwise it will keep going. Hope that makes sense. ????
Answer: If there is any moisture where it seals it will not suck properly. It also will not suck out air as much as the dry function.
Answer: I've experienced a similar issue. Unplug the unit, press the button on the left side, wipe the unit with alcohol.
Answer: Mine works very well. I haven't had any problems with mine on any setting
Q:
How do you use this to seal wine?
Answer: I have not used it to seal wine, but my old sealer I used to seal home made soup. I had to hold up the sealer in upright position with the bag and press the sealer button. On the joerid sealer they have a wet button but I would still hold the sealer itself up with the bag hanging down once you get the bag locked in. Good luck.
Answer: you will need an additional valve stopper for the wine bottle. Then you can use the supplied adapter to vacuum the bottle.
Answer: I have never try to seal wine. But it came with a tube, that should work to seal wine bottle
Q:
Where can I order more bags?
Answer: Amazon, but now bags got a lot more expensive. You can also try Sam's club or Costco. They also have food vacuum sealer bags
Q:
Will this sealer seal ribs and whole chickens
Answer: As long as you use a big enough bag.
Q:
Does the plastic from the bag get stuck to the sealer?
Answer: No. But, I am using heavy duty plastic bags meant for vacuum sealing. Lighter weight bags might stick.
Answer: Nope, machine works great. I've never had a problem, even with the cheapest 1 side texture bags. 5-stars
Answer: I haven't had a problem with that. After sealing, the front pops up and releases.
Answer: I haven't had any issues!
Q:
Does it have a rubber gasket inside the last one I had the gasket can me unstuck and won’t suck out air don’t want the same problems
Answer: I think there was rubber but I returned it since it stopped working.
Answer: It does and a spare
Answer: No it doesn’t
Q:
Is it able to sell without the vacuum?
Answer: You can buy bags separately from other brands.
Q:
Can this device seal items without vacuuming them too? For instance, if I wanted to seal a bag of chips but not vacuum them, does it work like that?
Answer: Yes. It has automatic vacuum and seal buttons for both dry and wet foods, but it also has a separate manual button for vacuum and a button for sealing. So you can seal a bag without using vacuum.
Answer: Yes there is a Seal button it will seal the end of a vacuum roll or any other bag
Answer: Yes it will.
Answer: yes
Answer: Yes
Q:
What is the rated strength of the vacuum? Referring to the pressure inside the bag.
Answer: I don’t know the rating but it works really well. Better than the last one I owned that was more expensive.
Answer: Never worked , so idk!
Q:
I pressed vacuum and seal and it lost the vacuum. Do I have to press both buttons simultaneously or one after another without holding anything down?
Answer: You must press the vacuum first then the seal. Unless you're sealing the end before vacuuming then it's only seal. But I do vacuum button first till all air is out. Then I seal it. I hope that helps.
Answer: Determine your food is dry or moist, then click on the button Dry or Moist on the machine. It will do the vacuum, then seal itself.
Answer: I push seal just to seal. To vacuum seal i just push the dry or moist and it vacuums and seals automatically
Answer: One after the other.
Q:
Purchased 2, both died after minimal use, how do I do warranty refund?
Answer: The one I received and used worked well. I would contact the seller through Amazon app messaging in your order history section on Amazon.com.
Answer: Open the unit wipe with alcohol and clean cloth.
Q:
What is the maximum vacuum sealing width of the machine? and can 70 micron smooth sleeves be used?
Answer: The sealing area is 12" wide on the unit. I believe the book says you have to use textured sleeves.
Q:
No size listed !@?
Answer: Love it. Wish I had bought it sooner.
Q:
What is an actual brand of bags that you buy for your machine? On a roll, or pre-cut? I'm totally new to this vacuum sealing game and I need help.
Answer: I don't think it matters what brand of bag or if it comes from a roll or pre-cut. It only matters that the plastic is not smooth on both sides (like ziploc bags won't work). This particular vacuum sealer comes with a roll of plastic. I believe ( but I'm new to the vacuum sealer world too) that all vacuum sealer bags will have the rough, textured plastic on at least one side and I believe that any brand will work. You just have to make sure the bags or plastic will not be wider than your sealer.
Answer: Im new as well. I bought the "Premium 02frepak 200 count guart Bags. " the gallon bags were just a bit too big for me. They are all pre cut. I love them. I can put 4 pieces of meat at most in each bag. Good luck.
Answer: I ordered the 2 p.m. Vacuum Dealer rolls on Amazon. 8" x 50'/11" x50'. That way I can cut what size i need. I ordered on Amazon Simple Houseware, item number KF-003-3
Answer: I buy the “FoodSaver” bags from sams club. They come in rolls and you cut to the size you need . The box is around $30. You can also buy smaller quantities on Amazon.
Answer: I bought a roll of bags. That way you cut them to the length you need.
Q:
Can I use any brand of vacuum sealer bag for refills?
Answer: Yes I have
Q:
Can this specific machine be used with reusable vacuum sealed bags?
Answer: As long As they are textured on one side or have a vacuum port like zip Lock resealables it can be used.
Answer: Yes its awesome
Q:
Can it works automatically?
Answer: It has 2 automatic settings. 1 for moist and one for dry.
Answer: Automatical,Manual both can, depends on your choosing
Q:
will it accept other food sealer bags?
Answer: Yes. I've used 4 different brands of vacuum bags and all have worked great. They all work on the same basic principles. The bags have a gridwork of channels molded in for airflow, and they melt at a certain temperature to seal.
Answer: Yes, I use different kinds found on amazon.
Q:
How do we get a warranty replacement? Mine stpped working after 12 bags
Answer: If you ordered from Amazon i would say to contact them and they will tell you how to get the required info. I have never had any problems returning and replacing anything I have had to return.
Q:
Where are joerid products made?
Answer: The products come from China
Answer: China
Q:
How's the Suction
Answer: Suction Great
Answer: Great,Love it.And do not put much bags in the vacuum sealer,
Answer: It sucks.
Q:
what brand of bags do you use for this machine?
Answer: Any brand is capable
Q:
does this sealer have inside bag storage?
Answer: This sealer doesn’t have inside bag storage. It also cannot cut a roll of bags to the desired length. You have to cut the roll of bags with scissors.
Answer: No storage. But it's still a great sealer
Answer: Yes there is 1 bag to begin with.
Answer: No it does not. I thought it did when I bought it but I am new to this whole thing. It works well, but then again I have nothing to compare it to.
Answer: no it so not have.
Answer: This one does not.
Q:
How thick of a seal does the machine put on the bag? Thickest I've seen so far is 3mm. Thank you.
Answer: It's right at the same 3mm. Can't recommend this unit enough. Bang for your buck, it's the best I've found. Same features as you'd have to spend $130+ on a FoodSaver unit.
Answer: Mine never worked! Would take out air but never would shut off to seal
Answer: It seems to be about 3mm, I believe that is standard but not sure
Q:
What are the dimensions of this sealer?
Answer: 15"Lx6.5"Wx2"H
Q:
can be used for sous vide cooking?
Answer: Yes,works great with my sous vide, nice vacuum sealer and with 1 roll bag came together
Q:
How many bags can you seal consecutively?
Answer: My experience is that I usually seal 4 to 6 bags consequently, then spend several minutes filling the bags with food, labeling the bags, or cleaning up my area, cutting bags, etc. That’s my process, so I don’t actually know the total number that it will allow before needing to cool down...
Answer: It depends on if all the bags you will seal are already sealed on one end. Take also into consideration the size of the item, wet or dry, to be sealed, amount of air to be sucked out or vacuumed and the machine is set to automatic. With everything ready and considered I think you can seal all of the bags from the roll. If you feel the machine is heating up just take a minute pause and continue.
Answer: I have sealed 8 - 10 bags without the unit overheating
Answer: I don't really know..... I've done maybe a dozen or more
Answer: Only one
Q:
Is the roll of bags that comes with it BPH free?
Answer: Yes
Q:
How do you clean it?
Q:
Where I can find a spare Pumping Pipes?
Answer: I would say ask the seller if they have it.
Q:
Is the plastic bag material pvc free?
Q:
Does it come with any vacuum sealer bag?
Answer: Yes. I don’t remember how many but it’s in large size, and more than 10 bags if I remember correctly
Answer: Yes. There is one roll.
Answer: yes
Q:
It stopped vacuuming enough to start the auto seal, it times out before it is done. Is there something that needs cleaned or is it trash?
Answer: It's not trash. Unplug the unit, Open the unit, clean with alcohol.
Answer: It is trash. I returned mine the first week I got it. Very bad product!
Answer: Usually i found it's because the bag is messed up and it still keeps sucking in air. Try a bigger bag or cutting them a little longer, try to make sure bag is smooth and flat, and try flipping the bag. Sometimes i find those to help when that happens.
Answer: I had to send mine back because it wouldn’t suck the air out
Q:
Can you open one of the sealed bags, remove some of the food and reseal again for freezer storage? (For something such as frozen fruit for smoothies)
Answer: I think you can but I wouldn’t recommend it. I would suggest that once you break open the seal you should cook those items and then freeze the amount you’re not going to use to save for a later date. That way if you want something quick to eat you have a frozen already cooked item waiting for you to heat up
Answer: I don't see why not
Answer: Yes you can
Q:
Does anyone know where you can find the wine bottle suction stopper?
Answer: Total wine and more.
Q:
Is this 220 voltage?
Answer: No.
Q:
What is the maximum width to seal vacuum covers?
Answer: it's 12" at the sealing area.
Product reviews of Joerid Vacuum Sealer Machine-Automatic Food Sealer, Kitchen Food Saver Machine with Vacuum Bags,Dry & Moist Food Modes | Compact Design | Easy to Clean |white
Eric Meals : Don’t Buy This
Bought this product and it stopped working after a month. They sent me a new one and it doesn’t work like it’s suppose to. Seals before vacuuming all the air out and then doesn’t seal at all sometimes. Would not recommend.
tricia bell : Good starter food vacuum
this item is excellent if you are vacuuming dry foods/items. I think it is okay if you planned to use it to vacuum and freeze meats. Works good for items like Italian sausage, works okay for items like ground beef and chicken. Overall I am pleased with the item - just wish it vacuum packed a little more on the "wet" items. it is nice because you can just seal - and on items other than the bags. overall it is a good starter machine for the price!!!
Steph Tracy : Game changer
Total game changer! I like buying in bulk for several reasons but so often i end up wasting food and money because the food spoils before I can use it. Even if i have it in freezer bags, when i go to use it it is so freezer burnt and gross. I have used this for everything in my meal prep from protein shake packs, meals, sauces, mini pizzas, homemade protein and granola bars, kale chips, trail mix and even salads and it is my new favorite toy!
Robert Antuno : Love it use it so much buy it enjoy it
Best on the market can't believe there is a better one at this price. Bought a different one and had to return it after 4 uses so glad I did cause this is so easy to use. When sealing just put past black heat strip, when sealing put end in gutter chamber if you over hang by going past gutter it will not vacume. This is a great vacume sealer for the e price. If anyone does not Lili e this they are not ising it correctly or just like to write bad reviews. But it enjoy it
Golden : Awesome sealer
This sealer is awesome. It allows you to customize your bag size so you dont need the more expensive pre made bags. You can buy a roll and use "seal only". The moist option is also great. When sealing meats, or sauces it recognizes the moisture and stops attempting to suction and seals. Ive had sealers that will continue trying to remove air but is in fact sucking the moisture out and taking forever to seal. Those that use old models will understand what i mean. Dont have to lift lid to position the bag, just feed it. Great price too and light weight. All around great product.
AA : Best value vaccuum sealer in the market
Item arrived late because amazon used USPS to deliver the item, absolutely not the fault of the seller. I have already used it twice and am very happy with its performance. I like the moist, dry and manual feature. Also you don't need to hold the machine to seal the bags which makes your two hands free to hold the bags when using it. I have no complaint so far and I absolutely recommend this product.
sevrin : It even sucks at sucking.
Ever think, I wish cooking was more difficult? Wouldn't it be nice if you could make no sense of the directions? The box clearly states " 30% Less Operation Compared with Others", and given that statement, I would say that the others fail about 15% of the time, which is still unacceptable for a single-use device. So, got too much time on your hands? Need some more messes to clean up? Wanna get a giggle from the google translate instruction book? Look no further because this is the sealer for you! Bless this mess!
JM Orton : Easy to use, quiet
Does what its supposed to do. Quiet, efficient. easy to use easy clean up. No need to line up the bag inside, just insert it into the bag opening in the front and choose your seal method. No thinking if the bag is inserted perfectly, the stops inside the unit do the thinking for you. Fast and a great value. would buy again
KEN : Such a GREAT Sealer
I love buying meat and other foods in larger pack.'s, since it's just my wife and me we can't eat it all, We was putting food's in just bags and it had freeze ice on the food. With this it sucks all the air out and it so tight, and you can write on the bags .. GREAT 5 STARS
Chris : It's OK
I will preface this by saying this is the first vacuum sealer I have owned so I don't have anything to compare it to. I have only used it to vacuum seal "dry" things. I have not used the jar attachment. It for the most part does what I wanted it for (sealing bulk herbs/spices into smaller packs). It sounds and feels a bit rattle-y and cheap. The instructions are lacking so you're going to have to figure some things out on your own. Tried to get fancy and make a bag with a partition in it and it had problems sealing that. Tried to seal some irregularly shaped frozen deserts and that didn't really work (vacuumed but did not seal). It's OK if you don't want to spend a ton of money, but I don't think it has the power to handle every sealing need.
Edit: manufacturer states they will send a roll of bags in exchange for your honesty review which I sent them at the beginning of February. March is almost over and I have not received any correspondence from them and I'm assuming I will not at this point so I am lowering my review from 3 stars to 2 due to poor customer service.
Marylou B. : Not worth the money.
I gave this one star just because it did work for a while. It broke after less than a month. Did not like how the functions worked. You have to press a button for suction, then quickly press another one to seal. If I had known this I never would have bought it. Sent it back after it broke and bought a better, more expensive model with one button that vaccums and then seals
M Keeney : Perfect features! A little workhorse!!
I have been using this since Valentine's Day when I received it. This is awesome and it has the features I was looking for. It has a single button were you can vacuum as much or as little as you want out of it before sealing instead of being solely a automatic function even though you can use an automatic function. My old vacuum sealer would sometimes leave are in that I could not get out before it would seal. This one is awesome, easy to use, quiet and also comes with two accessory hoses for everything you could need.
Jamie Favors : This thing sucks, look elsewhere I promise you
This is the worst vacuum sealer I’ve ever used. I have 4 year old vacuum sealer I was trying to replace but this one is just completely useless. Takes like three minutes to vacuum a bag and it dosent even vacuum it completely you can still move your objects around in every bag it seals. Amazon is weird now man, it’s as if most of these products are scams. None of them are ever identical to the product image. Always something off weather it be the product label, packaging. You always end up getting some cheap remade China product. This is the only item I’ve actually bothered to return in years of Amazon
Joeh : Reasonable cost vacuum sealer alternative to major brands.
This sealer has strong vacuum power. I did the sandwich bag hack to store left over sliced pepperonis with no problem.
Note that since I used a thin sandwich bag, I had to hit the cancel button on the second attempt to prevent the sealer from melting the bag. I don’t think you need to do that with thicker freezer plastic bags.
I like the compact unit to store it in smaller kitchen drawer. It comes with two tubings for external vacuum and some attachments.
josette : keeps my food fresh, saves money and reduces food waste
i was looking to preserve food to reduce waste and save money. this product was a great solution to that. it took a little bit to get the hang of it as it was my first time using a food saver vacuum sealer but it works well. it makes meal planning and prepping easier, keeps my food fresher, and saves time as well. the only con is that i wish it came with more sealer bags. i would recommend this Joerid vacuum sealer machine.
Lindsey W. : Beyond my Expectations
This is such a great addition to my kitchen. I was looking at getting one for a while but the pricing ($100+) kept me from buying any brand. I found this one on sale (under $50) and with such great reviews, so I thought "heck even if it didn't work, $50 isn't that much to lose". Well boy was I mistaken, this appliance is GREAT! So glad I purchased it. Very easy to use and did a great job vacuuming all the air out and sealing up! I highly recommend this to anyone who freezes anything or did sous vide!
Rich Bassemir : Easy to use for a beginner
I have not owned one of these before and found it was easy to operate. I was using a roll of sealer bags and assumed I had to seal the end first, cut the roll for the size of the contents then seal the other end. Since I never used one before I pushed maybe two inches into the sealer to make my first seal. That was way too much but it worked. By the time I sealed up 3 portions of chicken I was getting the hand of it and not wasting a lot of the sealer bag. I now only push about an inch in to the machine and it is working fine. The seal looks good and hopefully it stays air tight. I am pleased.

Kim : How much bag to cut to allow the sealing of the second end of the bag.
This product is very functional, has a very good sealer and vacuum. Having never used a food sealer, I read the instructions and then began sealing the meat I had purchased. The instructions should have included the elementary instructions of first sealing one end of the bag and then placing your food in and how much room to leave on the bag you had cut off the roll to allow the sealer to have enough room to seal the second end of the bag. It did not take too much time to see my errors, but the elementary instructions would have been helpful. Overall I am very pleased with the product and the pricing. Kim

VW147 : Amazing sealer for little money.
The sealer works great for my needs. I was sceptical at first. The appearance is appealing but I thought "great, that thing can never seal with a gap like that". I assumed I need to press down on it by hand. Anyway I put a bag in and closed it. But to my surprise the sealer compresses by itself and did a great job. Also the vacuum is good. Very satisfied with the buy
Urban Legend : It's a little loud, but Worth it!!
It is a little louder than the one i had before this, but it works every single time and zero playing around with bag size and making sure it's 100% smooth and a certain way. Love this one so much more than my last one and the fact that it pops open when it's done is cool little thing it does.

Striped Boys Of Spruce : Excellent Product!
This product is a lifesaver! I was tired of all my meat having freezer burn on it. Now that I have this, my items will last many months more! I am so happy with this product and it was at an amazing price!!
Nina : Game changer
This is a game changer.keto is a pain in the butt when you are cooking for 1.this machine has totally changed that!! In fact its made keto easier.I can Cook batches of things, portion it out and freeze it.its great for sauces and veggies and I can sortion out meat soups and bread too.I think my bread even stays fresh longer.
Brandon Heath : Great little kitchen appliance.
This is my first food saver appliance. I like the small foot print it leaves on the counter and that it can accept different sized bags. I have seen where a few times not all the air was suctioned out and didn't leave a tight bond to the food. I may try a different bag to help remedy that problem. The appliance is very easy to operate and maintain.
FrankW : I’m loving this vacuum sealer
I really like this vacuum sealer. I had a sealameal model I bought quite a while ago that just died on me and the Joerid model is far superior in every way I can think of. Granted, my other one was an older one, but I’m super happy with how quick and easy this one is to use. Makes packaging up my smoked cheese really easy. Recommended for sure.
Mike W : Doesn't automatically seal
The functions that should automatically seal aren't performing the sealing step; in other words, it's basically useless because you can't manually seal until it finishes suctioning, at which point air will immediately enter the bag. Also, the English instructions are horribly translated.
FL Mommy : Great value
This is my first vacuum sealer and I’m pretty impressed with the quality for such a low price. It seems to struggle a little with dry sealing some items, but that may just be me not doing it right. It’s also a little loud, but again, don’t have much to compre it to.
JChetti : Very happy with purchase
I must say it's easier than you think, we never had one before, but didn't take long to figure it out. I thought it was going to be complicated to vacuum and seal the bags but it's not at all. It works great and it comes with roll of vacuum sealer bags to get started. It's a great way to prevent freezer burn on foods you want to freeze. Also to preserve food longer. It's quick to vacuum and seal the bag. It will definitely save me some money. I can portion meats and freeze them without any worries of freezer burn. You can vac and seal moist or dry foods. Came with vac hoses to seal containers and zip lock bags. Seems to be a quality made product. Now when there is a sale on meats we can buy in bulk and not worry about freezer burn and throw out our money.
Fern Hawkins Breedlove : Easy to use. Excellent product.
This just arrived so I tried it out. I love it! It's small, light weight and works really well. I made a bag and it sealed excellently. I then dumped some coffee beans into the bag and vacuum sealed them. It's simple to use. I like it MUCH better than the really expensive, big and bulky one I had before that wouldn't work half the time. This is going to make grocery shopping days much better!
LAPPY : Need a replacement
Seems simple to use but I think mine is defective .lack in suction. Basically like putting in a zip lock bag. Hopefully I can get a replacement
Carrie : Instruction manual is very inadequate
I really found the directions to be substandard. This whole return could have been avoided with better instructions. 1) There was no explanation about where to put the rubber gasket that came in a separate plastic bag and not on the vacuum sealer. 2) The bottle attachment is supposed to look like a stopper per the picture and it looked like a flat square piece and there was already one of those in the box. The canister attachment looked like a canister so no problem there. There were no directions about what to do with the clear tubing and attachments. After I returned this item I did see some You Tube instructions for other vacuums.
Kate Chang : Very useful tool for food.
I am busy during week day, thus I prefer to prepare one-two week period food for convenience purpose. And this sealer makes my preparation work easily, it can So easy to use and seal tightly in short time!
gracsampet : Easy to use and seals great
I have had this for a few weeks now. Have used up the roll of bags that came with the machine. Just press dry or wet and it sucks out the air and auto seals. Bags/machine work great and seals with a thick seal. All bags are holding up well in my freezer. Would recommend this.
Ash D. : Convenient
Just what I needed thanks! Was a little tricky at first. I realized you need to cut the bags about double the size of the food in order for it to suction properly. If you only leave a small gap at the top it won't work.
Love this one so much more than my last one and the fact that it pops open when it's done is cool little thing it does.
sevrin : It even sucks at sucking.
Bless this mess!
josette : keeps my food fresh, saves money and reduces food waste
i was looking to preserve food to reduce waste and save money. this product was a great solution to that. it took a little bit to get the hang of it as it was my first time using a food saver vacuum sealer but it works well. it makes meal planning and prepping easier, keeps my food fresher, and saves time as well. the only con is that i wish it came with more sealer bags. i would recommend this Joerid vacuum sealer machine.
Mark Chun : Nice little vacuum sealer
Been contemplating getting a vacuum sealer for a while now but thought they were overpriced at my local stores. After getting an Instantpot recently, I decided to take another hard look at vacuum sealers and found this one for a very nice price after another brand I was going to purchase became unavailable. My 40+ year old impulse sealer takes 2 seconds to seal a bag and makes zero noise so I was surprised how much noise this one makes when just sealing a bag with no vacuum. It also takes about 10 seconds just to seal. Now that I've used it a little, the noise doesn't bother me that much anymore. Having never used a vacuum sealer before, my first attempt at sealing on the "moist" setting was a bit messy. I thought I made the bag long enough but the vacuum sucked up the juices from my salmon into the chamber. Luckily they made enough room to get in there for cleaning. Added an inch to my bag lengths and all subsequent "moist" seals went fine. On dry mode the vacuum is very strong. I vacuum sealed some salad toppings of seeds and cranberries as my test. It may be hard to see in the picture but the cranberries are smooshed and the moisture in them are slightly extracted. Next time I'll try to just use 'vac' to remove the amount of air i want and then manually hitting 'seal' versus just using the 'dry' function. It would have been nice to have some sample bags included (I got a small used roll from someone to test). I like the size of the sealer and although it is mostly plastic it seems well built. I don't know how, but I accidentally purchased it from Amazon Warehouse which cost me a little more than a brand new unit w/$3 off coupon. My mistake. I can as of right now 9/25/2020, get this from the Amazon Warehouse for $31.01 which is $9 less than a brand new unit.
All things considered, I still believe this was a really good purchase for the price and would recommend this sealer's products.
Duncan Riley : Great value vacuum sealer!
This product works surprisingly well for the low price (significantly cheaper than Foodsaver). In some ways it outperforms it’s more expensive competition. It’s pretty easy to use, and actually seems less prone to spills with liquids then the foodsaver was. I also like the direct control over the amount of vacuum suction (it vacuums as long as you hold down the button). The greater amount of direct control is a plus. It’s a bit clunky in some ways (how it kicks and unlocks), but overall works well and is a great value!

David M. Iannotti : A good buy
Unit works well and is a priced right. I use this primarily for vacuum sealing dehydrated meals that I take camping. It has many other uses for food storage and Sous vide style cooking. Almost anything you can place in a bag can be sealed air tight. I have another unit from a more well known brand and this unit works as good. In fact the seals it creates seem to be more durable. The seal is created by the heating element portion of the machine. A great feature is the external vacuum port. This allows the sealing of items in ball jars with a ball jar attachment ( not included). The external port also allows sealing in the plastic storage containers that have an air seal port. The unit is lightweight and does not take up much space. Included is one roll of food storage bags and two styles of external vacuum port tubes. All in all a good buy.

Bolo : Works well for the money
Never owned a vacuum sealer before and looked at a lot of models and reviews before choosing this one. Everything I've sealed has been perfect. I have two different size bags I use and have used the dry setting and moist setting a few dozen times so far with no problems. Takes all the air out of the bags and seals with touch of a button. Haven't used the wine bottle attachment yet but I'm very happy with the Joerid for sealing food. Learned a little trick; to vacuum seal soups and sauces freeze them first in a baggie or tupperware, then you can easily vacuum seal the frozen block with no mess.
