Will it catch crappie?
Answer: Hi there, the Sukoshi Bug is designed primarily to target freshwater Bass and although this is a very versatile soft plastic bait and could catch Crappie it is not a bait that we would recommend specifically for crappie. Happy Fishing!

Will this work with a Weedless ned rig
Answer: Hi there, great question! The Sukoshi Bug was designed for the Ned Rig and although the Weedless Ned Rig (also known as the Tiny Child Rig) is fairly new it will work with the Sukoshi Bug. In addition to the Sukoshi Bug, we recommend using a size 2 hook along with a nail weight (Zman and VMC both make mushroom or half moon weights that work perfect for this rigging) and you should be able to accomplish the Weedless Ned Rig or Tiny Child Rig. We actually recommend keeping your Sukoshi Bugs in the original package until you use them. That's the best way to keep them in tact and straight, perfect for catching your next personal best! Answer: I would not. I have had a lot of problems with this bait just melting to itself in my hot boat. Not happy with how this bait last.

Answer: Hi there, we're not sure what you mean by 'middle' color although our most popular colors include Black & Blue Flake, Blue Craw, Green Pumpkin Orange Craw and Coffee Craw. Happy Fishing!
Answer: Depends a lot on the color of water you fish and the forage colors but I have found that if I was forced to use just one color, it would be green pumpkin.

Craw style baits are enormously popular, but most of them have enormous claws. Where I am, our craws usually have very tiny little pincers and are closer to shrimp than lobsters, and the sukoshi bug is definitely the best imitation of those craws I've found.
Material is similar to Z man plastics. Tremendously durable which is a big plus, especially when a lot of the most popular plastics these days will start losing limbs if you cast them with too much enthusiasm. Plus, you just cannot beat ned style baits when the bite is tough!
I ordered the twilight color. Unfortunately half of my baits (conveniently, all three that were turned upside down) seem to have been a part of a pretty bad color run, as the white/blue ended up running across all of the appendages and at the heads. Knocking a star off just for poor QC. The miscolored ones were all upside down so you couldn't have seen them if they were on the shelf, which indicates to me some QC person noticed the poor quality and decided to package them anyways.

The action seemed OK, but if you live in a hot area you need to know that these will melt way before any of your other soft baits do. The tackle box got almost to 100 degrees (other softs were fine), and it looked like I put these in the microwave. Completely melted into formless goop. Maybe these are great up north, but are useless in the south in the summer.
Update: The lone bait that didn't completely melt bagged me a finicky Guadalupe bass that struck other white lures day after day but deftly resisted hook setting (white rigged on a chartreuse z-man mushroom), so it works, but southerners have to store it inside, and keep the tackle box in the cab instead of the truck bed.

I love the sukosi bug, they are extremely durable and they catch fish, I like the twilight color works great. Unlike most baits after a few catches they fall apart, these don't, the only way I lose em is when I get snagged.

didn't actually buy this lure, got it from mystery tacklebox, but i was not expecting this. first time trying it out i got 3 strikes and something nibbled on it a little. i didn't catch anything, but i suspect that was my fault with a bad texas rig. this is a great lure. i would recommend it for medium to large sized ponds, it works great even with lots of snags every where. i would recommend rigging it weedless. this lure is very good
