what are the size hooks on the 0.5 ? (2-4-6) I'm thinking of changing the hooks. Thank you
Q:
What size is “One size”?
Answer: As far as I know there are only 3 sizes. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 oz.

Hate treble hooks can single hook work on these?
Answer: sure can
Q:
What is the best weight for bass fishing?
Q:
Is the 0.5 oz to small?
Answer: I fish mostly saltwater. I have caught bluefish, striped bass, white perch, smallmouth, largemouth and even a wayward Jack Crevale that for some weird reason was swimming in the East River in Manhattan NYC on that lure. I mostly use ultra light spin outfits and it's perfect. also casts and performs well on my baitcaster. Great search bait.

Hi, I am new, does it float or sink? Thank you.
Answer: This bait sinks. Once you start reeling it in it levels out at a depth which you control by the speed of your reeling. Hope this helps! Good luck!
Answer: It sinks. Works a lot like a rat-l-trap. Its a noisy underwater lure that can be deadly for catching bass
Answer: This is a weighted lure, but is considered a top water lure.

Answer: I have only used these vertically jigging when fishing walleyes on Lake Winnepeg or on the Missouri through the ice. They have been very effective for me in those cases.

Product reviews of Strike King Red Eye Shad Bait
Amazon Customer : Great
Excellent babe
mike c. : worth it
Good weight, sturdy and easy to cast really far. I could feel the vibrations through the line using a jerk retrieve. No fish on it yet but the water has been really cold, it's only a matter of time...

great gift
User : Awesome
Moves great just like a fish, very attractive for the bass
Jonathan Dorton : Bait
Good action

Killing it this year with the Red eye shad lipless. Awesome action when reeling fast or slow.

adam : i'm in a dirty lake and the chrome/blue is my go to for ...
these strike king shads catch the fish. i bought this to replace my last one that was only a month old. i'm in a dirty lake and the chrome/blue is my go to for largemouth and stripers. i always have 1 of these on 1 of my poles. i would give this a 5 start rating for effectiveness but bumped it down to 3 stars because the paint just doesn't hold up. 3 weekends of fishing my last shad, there is virtually no paint left on it. just patches of chrome and blue at the tail end. A+ for effectiveness but a C- for durability. i don't have this issue w/ my rapala or bill lewis rattlers, but i still prefer strike king when i can afford it.
Ben : Great casting distance and most importantly it catches fish!
This is a great lipless crankbait! I used the 1/2oz sexy shad color this weekend and caught a decent size freshwater drum, walleye, and a smallmouth bass all within an hour or so. I definitely recommend this to anyone.
melrom : Item Exactly as Described
Well it's pretty, and it looks exactly the same as pictured (although it has more shimmery features that cannot really be captured by a camera but are good for catching reflections from the sun in the water). As for how it does in the water, I can't say if it's a surefire way to catch freshwater fish. I have had mixed success, and really it just depends on the bodies of water where I'm going more-so than the lure. In the meantime, it's cool looking, but you will be kind of using twice the bait as opposed to using a regular hook. Just something to keep in mind.
Robert : Good Action, bad finish
The bait itself works great produces fish regularly, the finish keeps it from getting more stars. I love the castability of this lure, but after a few fish the chrome finish is flaking badly.
Jq delaware : Not what I expected.
This lure does not swim at all like I thought it would. For the money I am disappointed with it.
Mimi-V : This baby has been killing it, great Bass lure.
I have caught more bass with this lure than any other this summer. The size of the bass has been larger too. I ended up buying one more for my son and an extra for me.
Michael T. Probasco : Five Stars
As advertised!
KC : Five Stars
A good lipless with lots a action, casts far too
Greg S., Dallas, TX : it is great through weeds
I have only used once, but I 95% of my lures, spin baits, etc. from SK and all grade A. People complain they are too expensive, but when it comes to bass fishing, you literally get what you pay for! Top quality.
The time I used SK RESB, I didn't catch anything, but conditions weren't right.i wanted to get used to a "lip-less" lure. Wow, it is great through weeds, etc.!! Hope this helps!
Greg, Dallas, TX
Bo Madness : Great lure to get a bite with.
Bass love these. I’ve caught a bass even when it is a bad day for fishing. Nothing else was working. The gold chrome paint chips off pretty easily though. A few bass and it chips with white being the under color. I’ve still caught bass with small chips though.
Rainy : Five Stars
Good hooks, great pattern. I nailed bass and trout on this.
orangesporange : Awesome lure!
I've been seeing many youtubers use the Red Eye Shad lipless crankbait, particularly RealisticFishing. I've been dying to try this lure, but it's always sold out when I try to find it in stores! Got the lure on time and got to fish with it today. 3rd cast and I caught a decent 2 1/2-3lb largemouth bass! Had several strikes after that, so it definitely gets em fired up.

Amazon Customer : I buy this lure a lot
This is one of the few hard baits I but a lot of. tight wobble, good vibrations, long castability, and many colors. Buy more at once (you'll need them when you lose them) and they will package them together so you save on shipping.
