How to Use

1. Fill it with wood pellets.

2. Burn with propane torch.

Dan : Great way to spend $12

I have a couple electric pellet smokers which I love because they’re so simple and dependable. I know it’s not a stick burner, but in my defense I live in Southern California and don’t claim to be a pit master. The only problem with my pellet smokers is sometimes they don’t put enough smoke on the meat. This style smoke tray is a great addition. Adds a lot of smoke flavor with just a little bit of pellets. This one comes with a cleaning brush which is a nice feature I suppose.

At the end of the day, it’s a $12 dollar item. Not totally necessary, but priced very fair. Could you make your own tray or tube out of wire mesh? Yes. You could. You could also build your own smoker and chop down your own trees. But that’s not for me.

I had one of these smoker tubes until it disappeared through endless lending. So I ordered this one. It is heavy gauge stainless steel and nearly indestructible. The ends are reinforced with solid stainless steel ends. One is solid and closed while the other end is open for filling. Now this thing has so many uses, and you can add natural smoke flavor to many foods. If you have a smoker, and smoke at low temps, most times you don't get enough smoke. Use this, and it will add tons of smoke without upsetting your grill temps. If you have a propane grill, you get as good as no smoke. Add one of these while propane grilling, and you will get true smoke flavor. You can use this smoke tube on any outdoor cooker and grill to add awesome smoked flavor to your foods. Cold smoking cheeses is one of my favorites. Also, cold smoking Salmon. This is the true and most significant use of this thing for me. It makes outstanding cold smoked Salmon. I could go on and on with the possibilities. Your foods will taste great and once you used it for the first time, you are hooked. Just fill it with your favorite smoking wood pellets, light it with a small torch and place it in your grill. It will give you hours of smoke for a great tasting meal. So if you want to add great flavor at a low price, this is for you. It is a fantastic value for all of its uses, and the great tasting food you can make with it. This is a 5 star product for sure.
