Easy Operation with our Manual Instruction

Does this work on acetate?

Answer: The one I received did not work at all.

The description calls it a vaccuum sealer but the reviews only mention resealing chip bags, which would not be vaccuumed. So...does it vaccuum?

Answer: NO it just reseals bags to keep them fresh

I have held mine down for 5 seconds an nothing happened then I tried to hold it down longer nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Answer: Are the batteries dead? You might be using the wrong side, one side is a sealer and the other is a cutter

Answer: I had the same problem and my husband figured out that I thought the big +/- signs on the back of the battery compartment indicated the battery direction. NOPE! That shows you which side cuts/seals. The battery direction is indicated on the wells for the individual batteries. Maybe you had the same issue?

Will this seal 3mil trash bags?

Answer: I just tried to seal a UPS bag. It seals the opening and cuts the bag perfectly. I'm gonna say that its thicker than a trash bag. I hope this helps you out.

Will this work on a thin sandwich bag or is it only for thicker plastic chip bags?

How do you open a bag after it has been sealed?

Answer: Probably not. I purchased 2 of these and neither one works well at sealing. It really seems like a great tool, but again does not work well unless the item you are closing is small and flat. wouldn't recommend

Will this seal in liquids?

Answer: It can seal liquids as long as the bag is dry on the outside.

Answer: The one I ordered did not seal anything. I returned it as defective. Maybe some of them work but I didn't want to waste time finding out.

Will this work on cold bags for example if I took out some frozen veggies and broke half off can I seal it while the bag is cold?

Answer: Yes because it heats up to seal the bag

Will this work on food saver bags?

Answer: I doubt it very much, as when I use it I find I have to go back over the same area I just sealed, more times than not. It works reasonably well on something like a bag of pretzels or potato chips. My Food Saver has to put out a lot more heat, as well as work longer when it deals one of their plastic bags.

Very nice sealer with removable hook. I have purchased many other brands over the years but this one is top notch. One side heats to seal and the other cuts. I even folded a bag of chips to see if it would seal double layers and it worked great!

It works! The two main complaints I have are - the battery cover slides off all the time when using, so I taped it down, and the instructions are in a TINY print.

Also don't be like me and realize one end is a cutter and the other is the sealer. I spent a few minutes using the cutter end thinking it was the sealer!!

It takes a little practice on how to place the sealer on the bag to be sealed, but works well after a few test sealings.
Various plastic thicknesses require a few test sealings to develop you sealing technique.

I was really worried that this little sealer wouldn't work. However, it did right away! The package comes with batteries (super handy). It takes about 3 seconds to heat and then makes a secure seal. It also comes with a little hook for easy storage. I would definitely recommend.

The level of expertise that one would have to develop in order to perfectly use this product is ridiculous. The failure rate was 100% at our current skill level. I will continue to use a chip clip.
I am confident that if you found a person with OCD who was willing to fail most of the time just to have this work properly some of the time then you would have a person who could at least be amused by the product and the process.
The cutter is weak. It only cuts consistently fir a couple of inches. We were not able to get one clean line of an opening on a full size chip bag that is approx 12 inches wide.
The heat thing sealed only some of the package , leaving gaps that were not sealed. And the heat sealer consistently left a melted hole wherever you begin the seal.
You have to stand there and firmly hold the heat clamp together for 3-5 seconds fir the heat thing to even begin to be heated to the proper temperature.
Believe me, in less than 3-5 seconds i could already have a chip clip in place and be on my way.
Our family will return this item and happily continue to use a chip clip.

I was first worried about what I would receive but one look and I was completely satisfied and it was everything I expected. The package includes batters so that’s a huge win. I was able to install the batteries and use it without looking at the user manual which is great. I saw videos on how cool this little gadget was and decided to purchase it. It does work; however, you probably have to do it multiple times to make sure there are no holes in between the seal. The best way is to not make a big opening to the potato chip bag. It seals a small opening really well but with big openings; it must be repeated multiple times.

This product has a great idea behind it, but not very functional. The cut blade part of it doesn’t go that far down I usually have to get scissors or just pull it open. The heat seal doesn’t always seal very well or slide across the bags. Sometimes it pulls the bag with it making the bag not seal properly.

A girlfriend of mine had this and I was so confused as to what it was. We’ve been relying on chip clips in the house, but we keep misplacing the clips despite it coming in a box of 9? Anyway, when I found out that this thing “sealed” the bags closed, I needed to try it. My husband is a constant chip snacker and will sometimes leave the bags open. Knowing that this thing could seal bags, we were all excited to open a bag of chips and quickly seal it using this tools. It definitely works and it’s mind boggling as to HOW it does it.

My wife loves organizer stuff so I got her this as a birthday gift. She tries to keep chip bags and such fresh with clips but they never cut it. This is exactly what you think it is. It reseals all chip bags like new. The other end has a little cutter to trim things up. She totally loved this more than any other gift. I've used it myself and it's really cool. It's great for resealing the kids snack bags too.

EDIT: Shortly after writing this review it stopped working. I returned it, it was easily replaced, and its working fine now. So like many smaller items on Amazon, you get what you pay for.

It works. Definitely takes some getting used too. My item takes about 5 seconds to preheat. Don’t get impatient with it or it won’t seal - go slow and steady for sure. The cutting end works as advertised. The battery lid isn’t the most secure so be aware if you have kids or pets nearby. I do like the little hook that comes with it/attached to it

I just got it and got so excited to use it! I tried it on some salad mix bags that were previously opened and sealed it completely it works better I noticed if you don’t fold over the bag so maybe try it that way. So I have been debating on this item for a couple months. We are usually good with chip bag clips but I really hate having to hunt one down if I run out. I decided why not give this a shot. I am very pleased how easy this little tool is to use in the kitchen. I had a big bag of kettle corn that after some kids and parents to munch on it, you get all that extra plastic to mess with when closing. So I decided to put this gadget to the test. I liked to start from the middle and moved right and flip the bag to do it again. I found that method easier than trying to start from an edge (popcorn bag is flimsy plastic, it might be better with a thick plastic). Anyway, I have some ideas to little travel bags for the kids on roads trips and I think this gadget might be my new kitchen buddy.

Cuts fine but as far as sealing it is hit or miss. You will miss the edges and have to go back from the center to get them. Some times it leaves gaps in the seal even if you go painfully slow.

This was thrown in the trash today. Not meant for frequent use. As the title of the review states, it works well if you're putting fresh batteries in with each use, otherwise it may work or it may not work, and it honestly isn't worth the headache. Spend more money on something better if you're going to use it frequently, this one isn't worth it.

Poor quality. I was hoping this would work, as my grandkids are bad about not closing the chip bags when them away. I thought this would make it fun for them to reseal the bag. Semi-sturdy plastic with a nice hanging clip. Packaging was damaged but I can chalk that up to Amazon being cheap and hiring contractors to run deliveries. One side slices bags open (still haven’t used that feature once) and the other seals of course. Well, you’d think it’d seal the bag, but there’s always gaps. I consistently have to run the thing over my bags 3-4 times to get a PASSABLE seal. I’ve practiced for far longer than I care to admit, and I’ve decided at this point it’s fair to partially blame the product. This is cheaper and much nicer than having a zillion “chip-clips” laying around my kitchen. Give it a try and if you don’t like it the company has a decent return policy. I have a feeling by the end of your test drive you’ll come to the same conclusion as me, it’s a fancy and semi-pretentious tool designed to do one thing that can be achieved with scotch tape, but once you have it it’s nice enough to keep ;)
