Easy Operation with our Manual Instruction

Does this work on acetate?

Answer: The one I received did not work at all.

The description calls it a vaccuum sealer but the reviews only mention resealing chip bags, which would not be vaccuumed. So...does it vaccuum?

Answer: NO it just reseals bags to keep them fresh

I have held mine down for 5 seconds an nothing happened then I tried to hold it down longer nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Answer: Are the batteries dead? You might be using the wrong side, one side is a sealer and the other is a cutter

Answer: I had the same problem and my husband figured out that I thought the big +/- signs on the back of the battery compartment indicated the battery direction. NOPE! That shows you which side cuts/seals. The battery direction is indicated on the wells for the individual batteries. Maybe you had the same issue?

Will this seal 3mil trash bags?

Answer: I just tried to seal a UPS bag. It seals the opening and cuts the bag perfectly. I'm gonna say that its thicker than a trash bag. I hope this helps you out.

Will this work on a thin sandwich bag or is it only for thicker plastic chip bags?

Answer: Probably not. I purchased 2 of these and neither one works well at sealing. It really seems like a great tool, but again does not work well unless the item you are closing is small and flat. wouldn't recommend

Will this seal in liquids?

Answer: It can seal liquids as long as the bag is dry on the outside.

Answer: The one I ordered did not seal anything. I returned it as defective. Maybe some of them work but I didn't want to waste time finding out.

Will this work on cold bags for example if I took out some frozen veggies and broke half off can I seal it while the bag is cold?

Answer: Yes because it heats up to seal the bag

Answer: Yes I use all the time on bags of frozen foods.

Answer: Yes I did it to my chicken nuggets

Will this work on food saver bags?

Answer: I doubt it very much, as when I use it I find I have to go back over the same area I just sealed, more times than not. It works reasonably well on something like a bag of pretzels or potato chips. My Food Saver has to put out a lot more heat, as well as work longer when it deals one of their plastic bags.

I got my little sealer yesterday and immediately had to try it. Well, I did exactly what everyone else who wrote a review did. I ran the sealer across the bag and it didn't seal. I read enough reviews to know I needed to do it slower. I did and it worked like a charm. I am SO glad I bought this!

I was really worried that this little sealer wouldn't work. However, it did right away! The package comes with batteries (super handy). It takes about 3 seconds to heat and then makes a secure seal. It also comes with a little hook for easy storage. I would definitely recommend.

No, you can't expect to go at it like shrek and get results. No, you cant expect to seal a bag that looks like it's been chewed up and spit out. It takes finesse. If you straighten the bag up, press it for 3 to 5 seconds and go at a steady pace, it works. You have to get a sense for how long to press it depending on what you're sealing; the thinner the bag the shorter time and faster you slide it. It got 4 stars because I couldn't get an airtight seal (even though it did seal it) on my marshmallow bag, but its probably better than a twist tie anyway. But all the chip bags in my house are now sealed with this, and I'm way too excited to continue to use this and save on disposable bags

A girlfriend of mine had this and I was so confused as to what it was. We’ve been relying on chip clips in the house, but we keep misplacing the clips despite it coming in a box of 9? Anyway, when I found out that this thing “sealed” the bags closed, I needed to try it. My husband is a constant chip snacker and will sometimes leave the bags open. Knowing that this thing could seal bags, we were all excited to open a bag of chips and quickly seal it using this tools. It definitely works and it’s mind boggling as to HOW it does it.

I was a little skeptical about this thing at first, but I’m actually really impressed. After putting the batteries in, I was able to use it almost instantly. The trick is to hold it together for 2-4 seconds to allow it to heat up, then you can seal things. It took a little getting used to, but now I can reseal almost everything. I love it; it’s a totally must have!

It works. Definitely takes some getting used too. My item takes about 5 seconds to preheat. Don’t get impatient with it or it won’t seal - go slow and steady for sure. The cutting end works as advertised. The battery lid isn’t the most secure so be aware if you have kids or pets nearby. I do like the little hook that comes with it/attached to it

Takes a bit to warm up. Once it's red, ur good to go. Takes some practice but works pretty well. I wish it had a lock instead of the hanger, doesn't really for in a drawer well and I have no where to hang this. Better than always searching for chip clips I guess

Very easy to use! Comes with batteries so I always consider this a plus. It comes with a cutting end and a sealing end and though it does use heat to seal the bags, it still seems like magic to me. My bags always stay nice and sealed.

I have a 6 year old who loves potato chips, marshmallows, and Doritos. The problem is that he doesn't ever close the bags. I bought this to make it a "fun" way to seal the bag... Well turns out that I had too much fun with it to even let him touch it lol. Yeah my life isn't as exciting as it was "pre-children" and I really live for the "little things".

When you use the sealing side, it seals a very thin line (about the width of a pencil mark). It worked great on marshmallow and chip bags, but the flimsy crinkly clear plastic that the item came in did not have as much success. It basically melted that bag but I don't know if any food item bags that use that kind of material.
The cutter is ok. Doesn't work as well on the more stretchy bags like ziplock style, but works great on foil chip bags. Maybe I just haven't practiced enough!

It would not get hot enough to work right out of the box. And it is poorly designed, if you put pressure on the heater it pops the battery cover off. Returned.

I mainly used this product in order to seal bags that were open to keep contents fresh in the kitchen. Even for my little ones arts & crafts to seal up some bead bags or anything of that sort. It worked amazing for the first couple days and all of a sudden it just stopped working. Change the batteries and still nothing. The contacts would heat up but not enough to make a seal. So I ended up with just a complicated pair of scissors.

This is a good item to have in your kitchen. This is an affordable tool yet very useful in sealing plastic bags instead of using clips. It heats fast and seals well. It also comes with batteries which is a bonus.

Overall this works ok. It is a bit tricky to use as the sealing mechanism can cut the bag if you hold it too long. Once it is sealed, it does keep whatever is in the bag fresh.

I bought this to reseal some nail polish strip packets that were left unused to prevent them from drying out. It definitely sealed the the bag! Kind of wish there was a power on/off button so I knew it was working, but that's just for my visual intake and doesn't take away from the functionality of the product. Good buy!
