Product reviews of FoodSaver Easy Fill 1-Gallon Vacuum Sealer Bags | Commercial Grade and Reusable | 10 Count, 1 GALLON, Clear
MWCraft : Very Good Bags
This is a set of convenient sized FoodSaver bags that can be used to vacuum seal a variety of foods or other items. We used them on our 15+ year old FoodSaver vacuum sealer and in an Anova Culinary ANVS01 model (reviewed separately) without any issues.
These are pre-cut to 1 quart size for your convenience and cost about $12. However, you could get two 11”X50’ rolls for about $19 and make your own 1 quart bags for much less.
Overall, these are very good bags and should do exactly what you need them to do.
Maple : Great and stand up on there own
Love these bags, I use them to assemble my own camping meals and vacuum seal them A+
June Callahan : Timesavers in a pinch
These are nice additions to use for my FoodSaver. It is nice to have these on hand to save time on an occasion.
Nancy Crowder : good size
These freezer bags are perfect for the meat I purchase
P120D1GY : Pricey but works, ink color will leak if used for Sous Vide
Good product which is expected since this is from a well known brand. Perfect pre-cut size for small batches of food, and can stand upright on its own. One big issue I ran into is using these for souls vide, big mistake. The Ink used to print the logo on each bag began to run, nearly ruined my Chef Steps Joule.
Just remember not to use these for Sous Vide and you’ll be fine.
Scarlett : Good quality bags good size
These bags Worked great in my sealer (a Hamilton Beach one). They are a great size for leftovers with a space to write on. I feel like my stuff will stay fresh for ages in these bags! They’re thick too, we sealed some dried cut herbs and the sharp stems didn’t poke through the bag during the sealing process!

Susie Q. : Stand-up, sturdy bags.
These are so much easier to load than your traditional vacuum seal bags. The bags feel thick and sturdy and work well with my vacuum sealer. If you are sealing soup or stew, I would recommend standing the bag in the sink and then place your sealer at the edge of the sink and the fold the bag over to insert into the sealer (it makes a pretty big mess otherwise, lol).
You can reuse these bags by cutting them directly under the seal and then resealing, but it depends on what I've had in the bag (I don't want my blueberries picking up any flavors from my last batch of chili). You can use your own judgment on that, but it is convenient if you just need to use a portion of the bags contents. You can reseal and save the rest.
NayNay Roth : Convenient
I love my Foodsaver; but I have never had a convenient way to vacuum seal liquids (such a soup or sauce) in a bag ... until now. These bags stand up while you fill them. All you need to do is make sure you don't fill them too full, and then crease the top of the bag until you get it loaded into your Foodsaver. It took me a try or two before I got the hang of not spilling any of the liquid. But, now my soups and sauces take less room in the freezer.
Penny Hauben : Excellent quality for keeping food fresh in the freezer
I use my food saver all the time, particularly at this time of the pandemic since I buy extra, freeze it with my food saver so it lasts longer. Like the née bags shaped larger on the bottom
The Good Doctor! : I love saving money by saving food and this is how!
I really like my FoodSaver system but the inescapable fact is, you need the bags to make it work! FoodSaver Food Storage is sooooo much better than the zippy bags... They save your food from any damage, spoiling, and freezer burn but I learned recently that you can preserve valuable documents or even jewelry and other items you might want to protect just by using this FoodSaver system! Now, I don't know if FoodSaver wants people using their product that way, but I tried it and it REALLY works!!! FoodSaver bags are really well made and very sturdy!
LaTasha Neal : Seal bags
These bags are made of a pretty thick plastic and it is textured. The bags aren't too big, but a decent size to fit things like vegetables, cheese, or other small items in. The way the bags are shaped they can stand up so that you can fill then without having to hold them. They take a little longer to seal because of the thickness of the material, but they do seal. I think they are a good value for the price and would recommend.

Tanstaafl : FoodSaver has become part of our lives.
We really like the practical use of these to let us shop for bargains. We usually buy the rolls and cut them to fit the specific size needed.
But, the convenience of just grabbing a bag and filling it is nice, too. This selection is good, though our gallon use is not as frequent for just the two of us.
LESLIE OBRIEN : great convenient buy
If you’ve purchased (or gotten as a gift) one of those vacuum sealer machines, then you’re in need of bags. These 1-quart bags take the guesswork out of figuring out what size you need and will save you time, as well. They’re easy to use and will work with any vacuum sealer brand. Convenient to use.
Katawampas : Great for Freezing Meals
These are really handy for freezing meals – can even use them for soup or stock. Since they sit upright, they are easier to fill than the usual bags. These are the typical, sturdy material of the regular FoodSaver bags so they hold up in the freezer. I would use these more often but they are expensive!
HappyWife : great value for the price
These gallon sized bags are great. They hold a lot of chicken breasts inside. (I buy large amounts since they are cheaper for pound.) I also have used them to store fresh fruits. They are easy to work with and work very nicely with my off brand vacuum sealer. I recommend these!

GardenCat : Awesome bags - great for souv vide or the freezer
These are very easy to use. They stand up to be filled, and all you have to do is seal it after you've got it filled.
There's no cutting to it, except to open it. The bags are thick but you can see the contents in them, and you can easily write on them.
They don't tear, and they don't crack or break even when frozen hard and dropped from the top shelf.
I like to use them in the souv vide. I never have to worry about water getting in my food with these. I just seal my whatever up, with a few seasonings, and put it in the pot to slowly cook. It's just a lot easier than cutting my own bags, especially when I am flash freezing and transferring a lot at once to a bag. The stand up feature really helps with that.
I have used 'off brand' freezer bags, but they are never as good as FoodSaver brand bags are. They are just the best- I've been sealing and freezing for years now and have never got a bad one, or one that let something frozen and hard poke through it.

H.F. : Fantastic
I got a FoodSaver on clearance a few months ago at a membership warehouse and use it all the time. To pack things to freeze and also with my sous vide machine. These work nicely! I thought I'd prefer the unending roll that you have to cut to size but I think the bags are just easier and faster the majority of the time. Love these!
Devlin : Super easy to use/fill; convenient
Hands down, what I love the most about these bags is that they come with a sealed bottom and they can stand up when you start to fill them...it enables more to be placed in the bag and to be done so a lot quicker and easier. The bags are well-made and work great with my FoodSaver vacuum sealer but they also work well with another brand that is a little different and not affiliated with FoodSaver. These can fit a surprising amount of food but I did have a couple issues sealing 2 of the bags as they just kept wrinkling a bit (could've been user error). Nonethless, while these are not the cheapest bags (in quality nor cost), they are worth it for me for some activities and types of food.
Pros:
Bags are made very well
Super strong material used
Seal very strong
Work with my FoodSaver and a different brand (should be almost universal)
Convenient when filling because they don't require a seal on the bottom
These can stand up once you start to fill them
Cons:
I had a couple that didn't want to seal right but it could be me overfilling
Not the least costly option
Overall, if you do a lot of Sous Vide cooking, I think these would be great. These are also great for saving food and sealing leftovers or breaking apart family packs to save money but these do cost a bit more than the type that is one long roll. I think the question is about convenience and if it is worth it to you.
Joanna D. : Free from freezer burn
Use these to vac down your cooked foods or raw meats to avoid freezer burn. The air being gone, there is little moisture to crystallize and no air to draw away the moisture of the food and give you "freezer burn." The quart size is my favorite size. Very good for tomato sauce, soups, or stews.
Jeff Kimble : Great for the sloppier things!
If you don't have a second pair of hands at the ready, these things are indispensable. They help stay sturdy when sealing up things such as berries, soups, veggies, and even pickled or wet things. They are absolutely FANTASTIC!
Seal easily and the plastic is nice and thick. You can trust it. Highly recommended!
Matt B : Pleated bags do stand up!
I've had a FoodSaver for several years now, and I have to admit I don't use it as often as I might because it takes up a little bit more counter real estate that I can afford. So we break it out when we have made larger purchases as we did recently. We caught some chicken on sale and bought a bunch extra to freeze for future use. This is where your food saver will shine! These 1-gallon bags are pleated on the bottom to help them stand up, but I found that for a lot of foods like the chicken we recently used them for-- the pleat doesn't help you out a lot. It does help hold the bag upright when loading, but I still made a mess with them. [that’s probably more me than the bags] For our chicken, we ended up laying the bag down to freeze anyway, so it took up less space in the freezer.
As far as how well the bags themselves work, they work great. I did feel that using bags [over the rolls that are more common for the FoodSaver] does tend to encourage us to waste some plastic on it. The one-gallon bags are over-large enough so that you have a decent amount of plastic left at the top for the vacuum sealing.
Colorgirl : BE SURE YOUR FOODSAVER WILL TAKE THIS SIZE RANGE OF BAGS!
I happen to have two foodsaver vacuum sealers. One is pretty old, but it is wide. The other is new, but it is very narrow and will only do up to 8.5 inch wide bags as a maximum. I can use both of these bags, but if you are not careful and only have one unit, you need to be sure these will work with your unit.
WHAT ARE THESE LIKE?
These are definitely thicker bags with a much heavier density than the bags that came with my new foodsaver sealer. They are meant to be marked with a permanent marker - there is not a white space to write on like the ones that came with my new unit. There is a flat expandable bottom on them which is great for bulk storage as compared to the sleeve style.
MEASUREMENTS
The quart bags are 8 inches wide. The gallon bags are 11 inches wide.
QUALITY
The quality of these are really good. They have nice thick seams on them which will not split easily. The back has channels in it for harder draw in of vacuum seal. The flat bottom on them is really great for standing flat on the counter when you are trying to fill them.
WILL THESE BE GOOD FOR GRAINS OR FLOURS?
I have had experience with this level of foodsaver bags in the past. They do have trouble with long term storage in that bugs WILL EAT THROUGH THESE. I have had them look fine one day and then a few days later, the bags had holes all over them with bugs inside. If you plan to use these for out of freezer/refrigerator storage, plan to put them in a plastic bin too for extra protection.
ARE THESE GOOD FOR SOUS VIDE?
These are great for sous vide. You can also use them over and over if you leave enough room in them and wash them after use.
THE BOTTOM LINE
These bags are nicer than the ones that come with some of the Foodsaver vacuum sealers. I particularly like the expandable bottom. They are sturdy, last quite a while, but still need to be treated with care as they can get holes in them either from abrasion in freezers, or bugs and sharp items on shelves.
MY RATING
FIVE STARS. I like and will use these.
Signmaker : A good value
Ease of use and good capacity per bag.
Cupcake : Easier to fill and seal with bulky foods and my awkward machine
My model of Foodsaver has the vacuum sealing compartment awkwardly raised way off the counter, which makes it difficult to seal flat bags unless you leave a good 6 inches empty, such a stupid waste. To get around that, I normally have to put whatever I'm sealing raised on a chopping block or a couple cookbooks. What I like about these bags is that they're just the right height not to have to futz around with them to feed the end into the vacuum chamber. They're also way easier to fill with bulk foods (though less convenient for pieces of meat or anything you don't want to freeze in a block).
Karla : More than convenient
Where were these my whole life! I sometimes do not have a lot of help to seal items that are hard to handle. Thus I tend to stay away from them. I love home made spaghetti sauce so when I make it I tend to make a large amount. What the kids don't take ends us getting tossed. I should say my sauce has a lot of meat in it also. I just sealed 3 bags all nicely fitting in the freezer. I can't wait to use them!

Shopaholic : Great for sealing things like chili, soup, pasta, etc...
I've had my FoodSaver appliance for about 15 years. In most of that time, I've wondered why there wasn't a flat bottom option available for the bags. Finally, someone read my mind and invented it! :)
I'll be the first person to admit that I'm thrifty. Since the cut-it-yourself roll material is less expensive per inch, I'll most likely continue to use that for the meat that I vacuum pack. But these flat bottom bags are perfect for messier things like soup, chili, pasta, pasta sauce, mashed potatoes, rice, and so on.
As I mentioned before, my FoodSaver appliance is about 15 years old. It doesn't have the "moist" feature that some of the newer models have. Because of that, I can't seal something that is liquid without making a huge mess and possibly damaging the machine. However, these bags are able to sit upright by themselves. I can ladle in my soup, chili, sauce, etc and sit it upright (unsealed) in my freezer for a few hours until it is solid. Then I seal the bag and return it to the freezer.
Phillip W. : Simplicity.
They do the job without having to cut from a roll.
robert : nice
I thought these were the resealable , but they are still good , use them for burger and stuff , and perfect for that ,and I had just bought 10lb roll and Sam's Club , so it still worked out , and for that , actually better
same brand , but resealable keeps my cheese a month easy , but if not something like that , I actually got the right bag , just didn't know it ..lol
Shannon Zolar : Great!
These are so convenient! They work perfectly and make saving food much easier.
Shannon Zolar : Great!

Baazumi : Great Stand Alone Bags
These new stand alone FoodSaver bags are great for pouring liquids, like soups and stews and other bulk food items. The bags have a stable bottom and a wide mouth opening allowing plenty of room for foods. The downside is the price, a little over a dollar per bag. Ouch.
Carolina Shopper : Great for Soup/Sauce Storage
These easy fill bags are great for storing our large batches of soups and sauces. We'd been using our regular FoodSaver bags, but would have to prop them up for filling. These flat bottom bags stand on their own, which is much easier. I find I do need to "roll over" the top edge for filling, to avoid getting residue on the outside edge (maybe I'm just less careful or more messy than most folks). After filling, I flip the edges back up and seal. I like storing our soups/sauces in "flat" containers to maximize freezer storage space, and you can still do that with these bags. After sealing, just lay flat and redistribute the contents, then freeze flat until you're ready to use. As far as size goes, we're cooking primarily for 2, so the quart size is perfect. If you want/need to put up larger portions, maybe consider going to the gallon sized bag. Great options!
andiesenji : Excellent for sous vide
I have been using these for sous vide and they ARE EASY TO FILL and they don't leak, which is absolutely necessary with sous vide.
The bags are somewhat thicker than regular vac bags, which is a big advantage for my purposes.
The price is very reasonable.
p luster : Ease of use
Easy to use vs cuttingvrolls
???? FilipinaShopaholic ???? : Now I can deep freeze my leftover Sinigang!
The great thing that I love about these is that shen I make Sinigang (Filipino sour soup), I make a ton!!
It’s a comfort food for us. When we’re sick or if it’s cold outside, or just whenever we crave it, we can’t just make a little batch of it.
Instead of throwing out what we don’t eat, I can now save it in these stand up 1 gallon bags and store it in my deep freezer.
This saves me money and time for the future.
Julie : Good product but pricy.
I liked the product but it’s a little pricy in my way of thinking.
cheryl glover : They seal easy
the thickness
mary raymond : I use these all the time
They maintain a good seal in the freezer.
BeatleBangs1964 : Seals in Freshness
I have the Vacuum Sealer and these bags came at just the right time. They make it possible to pack and freeze leftovers and are especially useful during the holiday season where there is bound to be plenty of leftovers. The bags also take up less freezer space.
Jeremy Haggard : great
Got these to use with our foodsaver, they work exactly as you would expect. no issues at all.
mikef : Large size for Sous Vide
I have all 3 sizes of bags from FS and love them. Used them for a long time. They are durable - clean up well - and work nicely in my Sous Vide. NOW I am also using them to Vac & freeze because of their generous size.
