Answer: Yes it will seal the crinkly clear cello bags. The floppier bags, like sandwich bags, are the hardest bags to reseal. In any case it takes a little practice to get the right pressure and speed for each bag. If I am resealing a new bag with not much headroom, I will do a corner of the bag to get the feel before doing the actual seal.

How do you know its charged fully?
Answer: It has no indicator so You actually don't know. When it's not fully charged it doesn't work. The device heat seals the bags. No power -no heat- no seal. I plug mine into the charger every few days. It will also charge in a very short time, enough to seal a bag. This is a worth while product.
Answer: It is supposed to take around 45 minutes to be fully charged. However, even when fully charged still doesn’t perform well.

Answer: Did you use it in a quick smooth application? It should not have stuck to any degree. Get a refund or ask for a replacement. It might be defective. If you have to pry it open, something is definitely wrong with it. These are really nice mini sealers and work very well. I've had mine for a year now without any problems. They are not strong enough to use on sealing mylar bags. Seems like maybe you left it standing to long in one place and the innards melted together. Hope's this helps. Good luck!

Answer: First make sure that your Air Lock Bag Resealer is fully charged prior to use, another tip is to try sealing at a slower rate with thicker bags.

Answer: As examples of what I've used the sealer on: metalic potato chip bags; zip-type baggies to make them smaller; some old, thick plastic sheeting to seal up TV controls (kitchen control gets mighty sticky without this); and, yes, seal-a-meal bags to customize them to odd shapes. i always test the materials first, then, when it inevitably works, I go ahead and create whatever I need. This is the cutest and MOST USEFUL tool I've acquired lately.

It works okay for little bags but sometimes it fails to completely seal. The battery doesn't last long either. I sealed maybe 5 bags before it was dead (I did this 3 times). I recommend looking for something higher quality unless you want to gift it to someone that you wish to have stale chips from an inadequately sealed bag :) 2 stars because it charges and looks like the advertised product.

It was OK in the beginning. It did seal and you need to get some practice in to get used to it. It is very hard to get it done the first pass and you will need to do multiple pass back and forth to get it completely sealed. If the bag is too thin, it will melt it. If it's too thick, you will need to be super slow in sliding the sealer across the bag. Also, the colors of the bag will start to melt into the sealer after couple of uses.
With that said, after about a month, it stopped working. It will seal for about 2 inches and it won't be hot enough to get the rest of the bag sealed with full charge. I would need to leave it off for a long time then go again for another 1-2 inches. Defective in such a short time and I didn't even use it much is reason for 1 star. I don't see any warranty information on this page and I need this replaced.
With that said, after about a month, it stopped working. It will seal for about 2 inches and it won't be hot enough to get the rest of the bag sealed with full charge. I trusted the other reviewers and now I wish I hadn't. This is a waste of time and money. It doesn't seal, it just gets way too hot too fast and melts and slices off the plastic. I'm constantly having to be careful of how hard I squeeze it, a gentle squeeze seems even too much for this sealer to work. I'm returning it - don't waste your time and money.

I am a long time fanatic of using clips on bags. I really like the Air Lock and have ordered a second one for use in resealing moisture sensitive electronic parts adding a desiccant bag. The magnetic strip on this makes it very convenient, I have it clipped on the refrigerator.
There is a learning curve and different bags seal differently. The hardest bags are thin flimsy ones, which are intended for a single use anyways, similar to the bags used in grocery stores for produce or meats. I have found that for stiffer plastic bags, setting the sealer on a table and pulling the bag through the sealer works really well.
About operating this device. I found out that the LOCK and SEAL switch is only mechanical. It moves the lower heating element (which does not heat) into position to push against and turn on the upper element. The upper element only heats when it is being pressed up- so pushing the heating element up to contact the connections to the battery is the only on off switch. The white pin in the hinge is also mechanical and doesn't have an electrical connection.

Works great if the material you're sealing isn't too thick. For example, a bag of chips I had to seal a couple times to get it to seal completely. Obviously if you're needing for thicker items buy a more appropriate Sealer

Dislike. Unfortunately, I bought many of these for my siblings and their families thinking it would be a great item for us to save on opened chip bags going stale or baking items saved for a later recipe. I charged it up and used it first time and it worked “relatively” well. Had to press hard but it seemed to work. I have tried to used it 4x since then and nothing happens. I’ve made sure it’s charged and even replaced the charging parts to make sure it’s not the problem. I feel slightly duped and a bit embarrassed I had them mailed to everyone in my family.
