Answer: I don't remember but it is a moot point since the weighing function of the scale is disappointing, not consistent nor accurate, pretty much useless. But the gripper itself is nice for handling the more toothy type fish we catch from time to time. Probably could have gotten a better deal on a stand alone gripper. I went ahead and bought another scale that actually works.

This is so much better than my older Berkley scale with a hook. It takes seconds to fix scale to fishes lip and beeps when the weight has stabilized. Less stress to the fish and the fisherman. Only thing I don't like about this scale is you only have the option for metric or English units in pounds and ounces. There is no option for pounds in decimal format (i.e 2.5 pounds vs 2 pounds 8 oz). Good purchase and would buy again if it went overboard.

Luxor Fish : Accurate at less than a pound!
As soon as we got it, we started testing everything in kitchen that wasn't opened that would attach to hanger. Nuts, pasta. 9 ounce nuts showed 9 ounces on scale. Weighting it multiple times, same reading. Very happy. If accurate at low mass, should be fine with 20 pound fish.

I like the look and feel. I only got it yesterday and haven't been fishing. I have weighed several things around the house from a 9 lb gallon of milk to small (package said 12 oz of cheese) scale said 15 oz. The light weight items all were off a few oz. when compared to pkg wts. I think it is close enough for a weekend fisherman. Is easy to use.

We really had high hopes for this unit but were let down with the actual experience with it. The most important feature should certainly be weight measurement accuracy, you would think. This scale will measure an object (I used small dumbbells for the test) at different weights every time you reweigh it, sometimes as much as a pound off. I tried first zeroing then attaching the weight and then zeroing with the weight already on. Repeated test: same results. That failure alone makes it unusable for the most important function: how much does this fish I just caught weigh? Maybe we got a bad unit. We paid almost half of what the top of the line MLF tournament scale costs, maybe we should have gone ahead and paid the difference for a reliable unit. Guess we will need to ........ too bad.

I've had my Piscifun fish scales since about last June. It has been in my boat over the winter, in my garage, and the lens is already pitted...? Wow didn't expect that. Didn't know and can't seem to find out if this is replaceable or not. Otherwise, probably wouldn't be a bad product.
