What is the mesh size?good for shrimp?

Answer: Yes.... 1/2 inch mesh

2nd time asking. You offer 3 sizes what is the best size to use for blue claw crabs.Why are you telling me the question is hard and cant be answered

Answer: We used the nets for crabs. Unfortunately the nets lasted 2 days before the crabs shredded them.

Answer: We used the nets for crabs. They were filled and held up. Unfortunately we are amateurs and didn’t realize that crabs eat the nets. Lol. So.... they held the weight of ALOT of crabs, but lasted 3 days

How big is the entrance opening? Have anyone use it for catfish?

Answer: I would guess the opening is about 6 inches. Unless the catfish is fairly small, I'd look for a bigger one!

what size do I need for crabbing at the jersey shore?

Answer: The size is perfect for crabs. We caught many of them. But unfortunately the crabs destroyed the netting in 2 days

These work great for rock crabs from my marina in Maine. I've even caught a few lobsters and eels! The only con is how difficult it is to remove the contents. The zipper on the side is great but the hole is impeded by the spiral wire frame. You just need to shake the heck out of it until they come out.

I bought them for Dungeness/Rock crabbing. But the entrance of the trap is just too small (I bought the largest size). I caught quite a few baby crabs lol but the big ones just sit on the entrance and slip away when I pull up. I figured it might work for crawfish/bait fish, or maybe blue crabs. I am returning them but still give it 4 stars. They are big and robust, well worth the money of $10/piece, if you use it for other purpose lol.

I don't know how long the nets will last, but for a while at least, they work well for catching minnows and other small baits. I will say they are a bit smaller than I had expected, but still work well.

Retired Lawman : Not for minnows

I like the fact it folds down when not in use, and it's roomy. I bought it for minnows but the mesh is way to wide to hold minnows. The first one I pulled up had six or seven in it, but they all wiggled through the mesh before I could harvest them. If you want a good trap for small bait fish, Chad or maybe bluegill, this will do you well.

Bought these for our vacation in Galveston to catch crab and shrimp. Super easy to use, just unclip and they spring into place, then collapse and clip to store away flat, great for using on a small boat. The only problem is the crabs tore the bait pouches and a few of the net strings. They would be more suitable for catching baitfish and crawfish. Overall a good buy, you get 3 for the same price of the large metal crab traps, and you you can store them just about anywhere when they are flat. If you are taking a vacation to the coast, or want something for freshwater, you will be happy with these. If you looking to catch crabs fairly often, then invest in the metal ones.
