Answer: I haven't dehydrated bananas, but I would think a simple google search will tell him how long to dehydrate them. Two hours seems to be a very short time.

This was a gift for my mother, who has been dehydrating for years. Followed the instructions, nothing left over night, etc. It started to loose the temperature and within 2 days the on/off button stopped working. Not worth the money.
In addition, she has been trying to reach the company, but to no avail. As this was a gift, it is a double blow, not a reputable company.

Straight out of the box, wiped it down and filled with about $15.00 worth of fresh raspberries, strawberries, and bananas. The unit started to warm and then started smelling like burnt plastic which I figured may be normal to “burn the new off”. Smell got worse so I unplugged the unit and removed the trays. Took the fan cover off to inspect the burnt smell source and the inside of the unit has melted parts of the unit and won’t heat at all now. Giant piece of junk and now I have some fruit that will partially be ate and thrown away instead of preserved. Actually spent money to be wasteful, ironic huh?

I've been wanting to buy this for a long time, because when you bake fruit in the oven it's always burnt and it doesn't bake very much, so when you use a machine, make sure you slice the fruit as thin as possible, otherwise you'll have to wait a long time
