Answer: Not sure why you would want to. It's a pretty straight forward device. There's on and a timer. That's pretty much it. But I will say it works awesome at dehydrating. Mushrooms only took about 45 minutes.

Answer: There are two Ivation 6 tray dehydrators. One is around 99 dollars while the other is around 179 dollars. The cheaper is mostly plastic while the other is mostly stainless steel. They are of different wattage also. I would make sure which one I wanted and even call customer service to make sure I got the right one.
Answer: The current picture was not the picture when I ordered. It's possible the company is no longer shipping that exact item. The one I purchased was black plastic outside with clear plastic trays, as was pictured at the time.

Answer: Actually the Prop 65 warnings are put on herbal products, like bulk herbs. . . . actually trying to thwart liberal plant/tree huggers in California. I don't know why they do not put Prop 65 warnings on pharmaceuticals, but then they have SO MANY warnings that they go on for pages in super tiny print, and who's going to read that? Actually when you start having new health problems, you do read them, or you should if you don't. Then you quit the drugs and you are back to herbs again and the Prop 65 warning starts looking tame.
Answer: My assumption is that because it has digital components, it also contains some heavy metals in those components. While they are not in contact with the food, they are present. Heavy metals are proven to be hazardous to humans and animals, so that even if only a rare risk, a Prop 65 Warning is required to sell the item in CA.

Answer: It is hard saying not knowing. Joking. The inside of the unit door is constructed of metal and a material that looks and feels like metal. But, a magnet does not stick to it. I'm sure it is not a high grade non ferrous metal like 303 stainless. So, it must be a hard plastic that is spec(ed) for the max temp of 167 deg. Think this is a BPA free unit. Long story short, the unit works well. Have used it many times.

I have been using this dehydrator for a week. It works wonderfully! I fitted silicon mats for the trays, and have dehydrated vegetables, some fruits, and have made turkey and pineapple pork jerky. Everything came out beautifully! The unit is very easy to clean, and the stainless looks really good on the counter. My one concern was the noise level of the fan, not a problem! It’s audible so you know it’s working, but not annoying in any way. I looked for sometime before making my decision on the brand and unit, I couldn’t be happier so far!

As it heats up quickly, it takes about 6 hours to make jerky for 1/8 thick slices and up to 8-9 hours for 1 inch by 1 inch sticks. I also made dried bananas, another success. Honestly, this is my first dehydrator and I am really glad I chose this product. I recommand it !

Please don’t buy this junk! I’ve lost $50 worth of food! It was used for drying my favorite fruits and got broken, no more running motors for drying dehydration process! My wooden floor was ruined with stains and my fruits inside! I discovered this after a few hours and it was too late! I tried to go thru the return process, however, it was no longer eligible for return! It’s been used just for drying my own fruits and I would dry them as needed! I’ve used it just once before and this was a second time that it’s been about a month or so! And the return was closed! Anyways I’ve contacted Amazon customer service and had to “threaten” them to give me a credit, otherwise, I’ll leave them for good! My God! What kind of headache I had to go thru! Don’t buy this junk period! I’m very upset! I’ve ordered other one whose fan built on the back! It’s coming now and we’ll see what happens! I've now used this dehydrator many times since we received it in December. The quality of the unit is very high and the stainless steel makes it easy to clean the device.
The ONE thing to note is that the temperature settings are limited to just five temperature settings. The highest temperature is 159 degrees.

EN :A dehydrator that works perfectly! I made jerky of beef, turkey, geese, moose, ducks and every time it was a real success. It dries the meat quickly and perfectly! As it heats up quickly, it takes about 6 hours to make jerky for 1/8 thick slices and up to 8-9 hours for 1 inch by 1 inch sticks. I also made dried bananas, another success. Honestly, this is my first dehydrator and I am really glad I chose this product. I recommand it !
Just to say, the stainless steel plates never get dirty, nothing sticks to it and the whole product is extremely easy to clean

Il sèche la viande rapidement et parfaitement ! Comme il chauffe rapidement, cela prend environ 6h pour faire du jerky pour des tranches de 1/8 d'épaisseur et jusqu'à 8-9h pour des batonnets de 1 pouce par 1 pouce. J'ai également fait des bananes séchées, un autre succès. Honnêtement, c'est mon premier désydrateur et je suis vraiment content d'avoir choisi ce produit. Je le recommande !
Juste pour dire, les plaques en acier inoxidable ne se salissent jamais, rien ne collent dessus et l'ensemble du produit est extrêmement facile à netoyer
ES : ¡Un deshidratador que funciona perfectamente! Hice carne seca de ternera, pavo, gansos, alces, patos y cada vez fue un verdadero éxito. ¡Seca la carne rápida y perfectamente! A medida que se calienta rápidamente, toma alrededor de 6 horas para hacer cecina para rebanadas gruesas de 1/8 y hasta 8-9 horas para palos de 1 pulgada por 1 pulgada. También hice plátanos secos, otro éxito. Honestamente, este es mi primer deshidratador y estoy muy contento de haber elegido este producto. Yo recomiendo !
Solo para decir que las placas de acero inoxidable nunca se ensucian, nada se pega y todo el producto es extremadamente fácil de limpiar

I purchased this to create shelf stable goods. The pandemic has me thinking that I need to put food away for the future. So far I’ve tried apples and bananas, neither have come out good. I’m not sure if it’s because I soaked the fruit in water and lemon juice to prevent browning. As of now this will go into storage and I’ll continue to purchase goods from the pros at 4Patriots. Their stuff has a shelf life of 25 years.

I purchased a dehydrator where the air flowed from bottom to top. It gave a poor performance. It took hrs to dehydrate herbs. 24hrs to be exact. I returned it

Nombre de Déshydrateur sont sur le marché et à des prix très différent. Celui ci est silencieux, est totalement paramétrable et en acier inox. D'une bonne grandeur pour nos besoins 2 personnes. Bien sur pour le moment, trois semaines il est parfait, pas de mauvaise surprises.

For my use to date, the 6 drying trays are enough. I wasn't sure about the 6 or getting the 10. As I had never dehydrated before. If you had a need for more capacity maybe spend the extra and buy the 10 tray.
My use is personal and not a business. So my 6 tray unit is perfect.
I didn't want the plastic dehydrators as I understand the difference between quality. There is little on this unit to break. Everything is Stainless Steel except for the 1 drip tray that you remove to clean on the bottom and the fine mesh BPA Free drying piece you would lay on one of the grates for small berries, Herbs, etc. to dry.
Yes, this is a more expensive Unit than the cheaper Plastic ones. However I want things to last and based on my experience so far, this should last me a long time.
I feel this is a great product for a reasonable price considering the quality of the unit.
