What size bags does it use

Answer: From watching the video, I learned that it's a roll that you can cut to size as needed. So you seal one end and then put in the food and seal the other end (like the top of a zip-bag. More versatile, in my opinion. Hope this helps!

Answer: Actually, any size will work. Unless you are doing the same thing over and over, the roll of “bag” material is great to make whatever size you need.

Answer: Thank you for your interest in the Vac 'N Seal Elite. I can not guaranty this work to vacuum seal a memory foam mattress. The sealing bar is only 12" long and I am not sure you would be able to find a bag large enough for it to fit inside. What is the physical difference between the dry and moist seal settings? What is the purpose of this option?

Answer: When vacuum sealing wet or moist items, a thin film of liquid can be trapped between the upper and lower sides of the bag, which can adversely impact the resulting seal. The Moist option increases the time the seal wire is heated to ensure a full melt between the 2 sides of the bag resulting in a solid seal.

We have had a previous vacuum sealer and this one is much better than the last one even though the last one was good and lasted 9 years. I hope this one lasts just as long. It is quieter than the other one. It does have a little learning curve but once done it’s great.

We tried this the minute it was delivered. We could get it to seal on the manual setting, but the automatic vacuum and seal would just suck and suck and suck, then stop, air would refill the bag and the unit would turn itself off. I guess that was the automatic part...The result was an unsealed bag full of air. Figuring we got a dud, we were just going to replace it but decided to call the company. They said this was normal operation! If we were trying to have this fixed under warranty, we would have been out of luck. Since we only had it a day, back it went to Amazon. (Thank you, Amazon.) And we'll never buy another product from this company. Was it worth it to you, Vesta?
