Got these since I started fly fishing recently. They looked nice at first, although they smelled very bad. But once I tried to tie one on, it came undone. Kept happening for 4 flyes straight. Then when I got one on, I got a bite but missed the fish. The hook had completely straightened out. I didn't expect excellence for the price, but I expected to catch at least one fish before the fly tapped out

I bought these as a gift for my brother and while i have not used them, they are certainly high quality. The case they come in is realy nice and has a tight seal, everything inside is nicely organized. The flys themselves are very fluffy and im told that's a good thing. Also they arived two days before they were scheduled to arrive.

I wouldn't reply on these at all but, when I was first starting the were nice to practice on bluegill withoit concern of loosing a 3 dollar fly. The case is honestly the best part of the package. I'm still using mine loaded up with new flies.

These flies are not your high quality locally tied flies. That does not mean they are bad by any means though. I knew this when I bought them and the price reflects that. I have used them a few times at proven fishing spots and they have worked fairly well. Are they as good as my more expensive flies? Absolutely not, but for a novice fly fisherman these are great to build up your selection. If you are just learning to fly fish they are perfect because you will inevitably loose flies. For the price you can't go wrong.
